Overall, excellent touching storyline about family, friends, good/evil, and taking control of one's own destiny, instead of relinquishing oneself to fate. Surprising humor in every turn and excellent animation! Far superior than Pixar.There were so many great scenes!Just a few...I love the beginning when the immortal brought Nezha essence to his parents on his flying pig. He has a great Chinese regional accent.The encounter with the sea monster with AoBing was hilarious.Then, a perfect sunset as friends playing Chinese shuttlecock, like "hacky sack" at the beach.The 2 ceremonial gatekeepers fighting as Nezha sneaks out.There were so much cultural references! If one understood all of the cultural reference, one would learn a lot about Chinese culture as well. Still very entertaining without understanding all the cultural references since it is so action-packed and full of physical humor.

Excellent animation for its time. And a great story line and good voice actors. I heard that the animation in Nezha 2 which was just release Feb 2025 is even technically better. I streamed this to prepare for Nezha 2. Nezha is a well known mythological figure in traditional Chinese culture. Think of "Apollo" or "Pan" for a similar type of story in the West.

I really enjoyed this film. I cannot say enough about it. It rivals story-wise anything Pixar has done. The animation is good, but not great. But this is about the story and it delivers.

is it complex..no... is it enjoyable absolutely. for those that are smite players, this will be some awesome lore backstory. enjoyable char and fun story.

Highly recommended.Good screenwriting and turning a story familiar to Chinese and most East Asians into an epic introduction to Chinese mythology.3D animation is very good with beautiful scenery. Fighting scene used close-up as well as wide-angle to produce powerful action elements. Emotional scene have been done well to convey characters' state of mind. It is not exactly matching Disney or DreamWorks productions, yet it is very close in quality.Similar to Japanese animation, it is best to listen to original audio and read subtitle. I must praise English dub for being good and very little is lost in translation to maintain integrity of the story.You must finish the ending theme as there are Easter Eggs there, let alone beautiful songs.

I really recommend this movie. It has some really positive themes for kids and I was touched by the family relationships portrayed.

This is the top grossing Chinese animated film of all time.While not quite on par with the best of Pixar it is still a very impressive technical achievement.The story seems to borrow a lot from Chinese culture mixed with elements of Anime like DragonBall Z. I can't say that I fully connected with it, but I enjoyed it for the pretty visuals and for seeing just how far Chinese animation has gone in the past few years.Looking forward to seeing future efforts from this studio in the future.
