Mil-Tec US Style Waterproof Poncho Ripstop Hooded

This poncho does everything right, it’s oversized so you can cover backpacks with it, it can be used as a tarp and Mil-Tec also sell a poncho liner for it as well. It compresses up very small.

Works always dry & packs small + will cover back pack

This is massive but that's why it's good. It's like a wearable tarp and sometimes that's what you need. Work ok as a ground sheet too at a push.

Returned, was like wearing a bin liner as inside has a plastic bag sown in, so not really 100% ripstop as it was advertised to be at the time.

This black poncho seems quite sturdy and is probably ideally suited to festivals or just standing in the rain somewhere. I walked briskly for 11 miles wearing the poncho, in continual rain, expecting the free movement of air beneath the poncho to stop any water vapour from condensing on the inside. Before walking very far, the inside of the garment was very wet with condensation, and at the end of the walk, all of my clothing was as soaking wet as it would have been had I not worn any protection from the rain.
