As usual, Channel Lock quality shines through with this product. I have a 10 inch set of these, and they have served me faithfully for over forty years. Recently, I found myself need a second pair of these groove lock pliers while working with a drip irrigation system. I have a soft jaw pump pliers, but they really could not get the grip I needed to tighten the fittings on the controller. With these, no more drips while the zone is running, at least not until the rubber washers fade away. With both sets of pump pliers, I no longer dread making more leaks than I'm trying to fix!

I purchased as a used/returned item, so there was a little bit of rust, nothing a wire wheel won't fix. The real selling point was the price, about $10 below retail.
