Assumption Abbey Fruit Cake in Traditional Tin, 2 lbs

This is the best tasting nut fruitcake on the planet! Somewhat expensive but well worth it. A beautiful cake, presentation is so nice. Packaged in a reusable container making it easy to store any leftovers in the refrigerator. I will be a repeat customer!

I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been jonesing for fruit cake like my mom made decades ago. I have her recipe but I’m no baker. This fruit cake is moist, loaded with good stuff and it’s just sweet enough. Reminds me of my mom’s. Very good!

very good, no citron, just fruit and nuts. Does have high fructose corn syrup and other ingredients that may cause migrane.

Delicious! I would absolutely recommend this authentic fruit cake; it is moist, flavorful, and chockful of wonderful tender fruits and nuts. Will definitely buy again next Holiday season and perhaps as a nice treat throughout the year.

My favorite! I've been ordering them for years. Expensive? But look at all the expensive things in it! Delicious! And it keeps to the last piece.

There was no list of ingredients with the cake or in the posting. I was assuming that since ingredients weren't listed on Amazon they would be on the cake packaging. Not there. This makes a difference because some people can't eat some of the spices or nuts in the cake. Otherwise the cake was good but not great. It had a good flavor from the rum and some of the fruit actually tasted like fruit. I know there were candied cherries in it but I can't tell if the other fruit was pineapple or citron, or a combination of the two. There might have been raisins but I'm not sure. There was a slight spice flavor, maybe cinnamon. As someone else remarked, it was very crumbly. I found a few places where the batter was not fully cooked. I think it had too many nuts and not enough fruit. I won't order it again but for those who don't mind all of the nuts it would be a good choice.
