Ateco 4901 3" x 1 3/4" Stainless Steel Round Cake/Food Ring Mold

There cannot possibly be a more perfect biscuit cutter /round egg ring made! Perfect size, one piece smooth and totally seamleas high grade stainless steel that is STURDY yet not unnecessarily thick.

Recently had to replace my funky 25-yr old biscuit cutter. Lotsa happy memories cooking for my family with that, but it was nothing special, actually it was probably more of a round cookie cutter, but it was the perfect size and worked great until it started falling apart. No worries! I dial up my trusty Amazon and thx to dear ole China we now have so so many choices. I get my old one to measure and take a stab at the Ateco 4-pk of assorted cutters, but I should've looked closer. There's nothing nearly the right size in the assortment I got. The largest one is more tart/scone/turnover size and the next smallest would make a tiny biscuit, indeed. Anyhow! i stopped searching for cutters and stumbled into this ring. I was prepared to be disappointed again, but this turned out to be the perfect size, cuts great, and is much, much better made than any biscuit cutter (or cookie cutter) I've seen. Much thicker and completely smooth inside and out, no ridges. ALSO! it's so heavy duty that I decided to try cooking eggs for eggs benedict in it and they were perfect, too. I'm buying a second ring now so i can cook 2 round eggs at once. Would also be great for homemade egg mcmuffins, etc.

Sturdy & makes a good sized biscuit. I usually just hand wash after using. No problems after using several times.

I bought this item to use when making biscuits, and of course it can be used as a cookie cutter, although it's really a form for food prep. I wanted a cutter that was deep enough to make thicker biscuits and this item fit the bill. It's very sturdy and somewhat heavy. Feels really good in the hand. I know a lot of individuals are concerned about seams with these forms/cutters. Mine is very smooth, and you can just barely feel a slight seam on the inside. There is no visible seam on the outside. The edges are not sharp, but as a cutter it does not have that lip like some actual cookie cutters have, so you just need to be mindful. I have made a number of biscuits with this item, and am so pleased with it's performance. The item is 3 inches in diameter, which is a good size for biscuits and cookies for that matter. I would recommend this item for it's form and function.

I wanted to throw out my old dinged up ring molds and get some nice ones, which I only use them during the holidays for a little baking. This a very high quality ring that is substantial. The edge is quite thick and may not be great if you are used to a thinner material with a better cutting quality to it, but this works fine for me. They are very sturdy and it would take some real effort to bend it out of place. I have washed them in the dishwasher with no bad side effects.My only tiny complaint is that I thought it would be one piece. I try to avoid any metal products with seams because they seem to always rust over time no matter how careful you are to dry them or just hand wash them. The seam is very minor and appears to be well made with no impact on performance or quality, but is there nonetheless.So far a great brand for ring molds. I will definitely buy again if I need more sizes.

We wanted to make crumpets and needed to purchase some rings. After reading lots of reviews for other rings, I decided to get 2 of these. They are a little more expensive than the cheaper ones, but sounds like cheap ones crap out on you really quickly! (Rust, break, poor construction, etc). Not with these! These are excellent. They made our first attempt at making crumpets a breeze. Well, the crumpets didn't turn out that well at first (batter problems), but never had any issues with the rings -- they held the batter in the pan without leaking and didn't get stuck to the crumpets/slid off easily. Plus, they are very shiny, attractive, and well made. I don't believe they are one-piece, but the join is invisible from the outside, and not very noticeable from the inside; definitely doesn't interfere with the use, and I am not worried about it breaking. Luckily, by then time we got to the bottom of our batter, we learned much more about how to successfully make crumpets, so I'm sure that our next attempt will be even better. Looking forward to using these again! (And thinking about getting 2 more!)

Like the other one I bought of a different size, this one is also not machined perfectly. Was trying to use them for cooking eggs sandwiches but as soon as you put the egg in their, it starts running right out at those points where it was not made true enough. The best answer for this I have found is to start with a fairly hot pan (medium to medium high), spray some Pam in the ring and immediately crack your end into it. Because the surface is so hot, it gels the egg before it runs out under the edge. Then after a few seconds, turn the heat back so it cooks the egg without burning it. A little practice and I had it down in no time. Perfect breakfast egg sandwiches. Use with some Canadian bacon or the right sized sausage along with some American or other cheese and no need to drive out to a fast food place to get that same but fresher product!

Nice and tall. Thicker which is great for heat transfer and also makes them really sturdy.Really improved the crumpets from making them in the silicone egg rings I was using previously.

These small are nice and shiny and better looking than the images on Amazon.Exactly what I was looking for indeed.

Perfect plating tool. Holds its shape and works well. Super easy to clean. Wish they had different sizes.
