On the other hand with this brace I don't feel pain and I don't feel restricted. Is been through the wash and still holds up.

Also, if you use an ointment like Capzacin, the glove isolates the cream from rubbing off on other parts of your skin. I've noticed a reduction in swelling that I wasn't previously aware of. I'll certainly continue to incorporate the glove in my nightly, even daily, routines

Lightweight, comfortable, not bulky brace for CMC arthritis problems. Bonus is that it extends to, and provides some support for, the first joint without restricting movement. Fits under gloves for housework, cooking, gardening-- a big plus. Support would be improved without compromising positive features if fabric just in the CMC area, had a little elastic woven in to provide stronger support of the CMC as this brace is flexible enough to allow use of one's hands and the support would be welcome. I have no idea if the copper is helping in any way, but some folks report it helps them.

I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (also neuropathy, lupus and Sjogrens). Here's what I like and appreciate about this brace, which I bought for each hand. First, it's lightweight and supportive without being intrusive. If need be, I can sleep with these on without much distress or discomfort. Like most people with RA, I like my limbs and digits free when I sleep, if at all possible. It doesn't only support my thumb joint, which gets incredibly painful, it's a great wrist brace; it's not nearly as cumbersome as any other wrist brace I've had. When I bought it, it wasn't for my wrist, so I was pleasantly surprised by this. I can even crochet with these on, which was an even bigger surprise! I like that most of my hand and fingers are free while it protects the specific joints I got it for. Being that it's lightweight with neoprene, I don't sweat beneath it, even when I'm so bundled up or under an electric blanket. It's comfortable; I can wear it and do things without having to constantly take it off. TMI...but for my arthritis peeps, because most of the hand is free, you can even use the bathroom and wash your hands without much maneuvering. I suggest these if your thumb or wrist joints are being problematic jerks! They're a good price, easy to clean, and comfortable (as far as braces go).

Jammed my thumb which hurt my military injury at the base of my thumb. Bought this to keep me from moving or sleeping on the issue oddly which makes the pain worst. In a few weeks all better. Bought two as one gets used while working in the community gardens as needed. One for in the house is cleaner. Happy with the purchase and outcome of helping my thumb feel better without having the see the doctor. Which I already know there’s nothing they can do for the thirty plus year injury and prefer no surgery as they said there’s no guarantee it’ll heal right the first time. Need my thumb for guitar when doing book signings so if a device like this helps keep me playing for however long until surgery my become inevitable I’m here for use 😁 The only complaint is for the thumb space between the base and pointer finger … that area would get sore. The piece of material necessary for stability this company added besides the pad causes a bit of discomfort. So, I have to be careful or it’ll press into the gap base and cause pain. I’ve put my thumb on the other side of the material so it doesn’t sit between. It would be helpful if the material was removed or positioned differently. Or it cuts into the web of the hand. This didn’t impact healing. Though caused a bit of a different issue if I wasn’t careful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Ok, I was diagnosed with De' Quervains synovitis due to an injury and my extensor pollicis brevis and extensor pollicis longus are hurting. Those are the tendons of the muscles of the thumb that help the thumb extend. My pain scale every morning varies from 3/10 to 8/10. Sometimes if I do certain things, like cooking, or opening the door, etc, my thumb hurts soooo bad! I already went to the doctor's office and got a shot but it doesn't help after a few weeks. This thumb splint keeps my thumb/wrist stable while sleeping, so my thumb will not "move" while I'm sleeping. Doctors do not know for sure how people get Quervain's tenosynovitis. But it can result from: -A direct blow to the thumb -Gaming -Hobbies like gardening or racket sports -Inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis -Overuse -Repetitive workplace tasks.. For me, I injured it by hyperextending my thumb for 8 hours continuously while sleeping in a weird position. And then lifting heavy stuff later... I have been using this hand brace for more than a month now and it kinda helps me reduce the pain scale from 8/10 to kinda 2 or 3/10. De Quervain's is kinda like chronic pain, I've been having this pain for more than 7 months now. During the day, it doesn't hurt that much, but it just depends on what I'm doing.
