Swellpro Spry The World's Only Waterproof Sports Drone

I am not a drone expert and had never flew one before but I have thoroughly enjoyed it since I received it as a present from my wife and kids.

Don't do it! Bought this drone. Unpacked it, followed setup and pre-flight instructions to the letter, including ensuring the battery compartment was sealed. Let the drone land in our pool to see how it worked. It was there for about 3 seconds. Camera stops working, drone starts malfunctioning. Send the drone back as it's clearly defective, and just order a new one. Company comes back and tells me they want a $500 "re-stocking" fee because I (me?) "damaged" the drone?Total BS. Never even opened the second- sent it back. And this drone is supposed to handle flying over the ocean for fishing? Right. No problem, actually, with the drone being problematic. But not honoring your product, and trying to "stick it" to your customer? That's a problem. Do business the right way, or don't do it at all.

The calibration interface is extremely poorly designed. Instructions are almost unintelligible, poorly organized and printed microscopically. On first 2 uses, after I set up and calibrated as instructed, it quickly took off, flipped over and plowed into the ground, cutting my fingers and I tried to save it.

This is an ok drone. Battery life is very low and controls are slow but with practice it gets easier to use.

my wife got me this drone for birthday. disliked the follow me mode crashed it everytime.. Picture very jello like. not recommended.. yea sent it back, gonna try skydio.

First understand that this company is completely based out of China and all communication and service needs goes to China. That means if you need to send it for repairs it will take weeks to get there and weeks to get it back. I backed this item as a Kickstarter in 2018 after several delays and excuses I received it in 2019. It was inoperable. The controller would not unlock the blades. The drone acted like it received no signal from the joysticks. I have 2 other drones that work perfectly so I was not brand new to this. The company was overstretched at that time so tech support was impossible to reach and I got busy and gave up.3 years later I am trying to finally get this up and working gain and I find that the company still has the same tech support issues. Everything goes through China and is on China's time. Tech support is impossible to reach. The live chat on the website is strictly for sales if you ask a tech question she asks you to email tech support. The problem is that gets no response.I could accept that the company had problems when this product was first coming out but 3 years later these should have been resolved. the fact that tech support is so difficult to reach is a choice at this point.I would avoid this product and this company completely.

The battery ignited inside of the drone when I turned it on. Swellpro says it was caused by water intrusion but my drone never even touched the water that day. Very frustrating to spend close to $1,000 on a product that is useless in a few short months.
