Nostalgia FTW
The game works fine, no errors so far and I played the game for a good three hours and the new save battery works too. The game feels great and it's just like another Pokemon game. The game came in the mail in extremely good condition. The seller said the game's cover sticker is minor scratched but mine didn't have a single scratch or damaged at all. The cartridge it self was clean and surprising little to none scratches or wear on it. It felt like I just bought the game from the store 20 years ago. So this game made feel all the nostalgia and when I turned it on, it sounded fine and it worked fine. And I played it on my gameboy color so even more nostalgia. But the cartridge may vary but it's still worth the money

Unable to save progress
The game itself was good and in good shape. It works. However, the game doesn’t let you save your progress. So every time you turn it off you have to restart with a new game. Most of these games will allow you to save one game.

Great Shape
I've never purchased a used game cartridge online before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The Pokemon Yellow Version I received was in great shape! Plays well (so far) and has successfully saved a new game. I was a little nervous that it was just sent in a bubble mailer without any extra protection, but it seems to be totally fine. I'd order again.

LOVE IT!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME! My favorite Pokémon game and one of the only ones I actually cared to finish. Love gen one already and this one just makes it 3 times better. And by that I mean you get all 3 starters! Charmander, Bulbasaur, AND Squirtle! My favorite ones! And on top of that, you get a Pikachu to start and it follows you around! And this is gen 1! So awesome! Loved this game, as a must play for any pokemon or even just video game fan!

A Classic Every Gamer Should Own
Pokemon Yellow- Hah, I remember the first time I got a first gen Pokemon game, back in 2002, was it? Whatever, (BTW that was Red Version)on to the review. If you're like a high percentage of child Pokemon fans that care about graphics more then anything, don't buy this. But if you're a Pokemon fan who bases of game play, and plot, buy this game. Here is the plot... (SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) You're a 10 year old child who wants to go out into the world to catch 'em all. But, you don't have a Pokemon. You leave anyway, but the local Pokemon Professor, Prof. Oak, stops you. Then a Pikachu attacks, but Prof. Oak catches it. He brings you to his lab so you can get a Pokemon. But, there is only one Pokemon, and his Grandson wants a Pokemon, too. You get first pick, so you go for the only Pokemon, an Eevee. But, Prof. Oak's grandson, (Your rival now) pushes you out of the way, and takes the Pokemon. (I wanted an Eevee! :( ) Professor Oak lets him keep it... Wow Oak... and he gives you the Pikachu he just caught. It starts off hating you, but ends up liking you. So you battle your way through gyms, through your rival, through trainers. Then, after the 5th Gym (Out of 8), at Saffron city, an evil organization, Team Rocket, takes over Saffron! You battle your way to the top of a Pokeball creating company, Silph Co., and fight the leader of Team Rocket! It is a long, hard, battle, but you win. You beat the 6th and 7th gym, then, at the 8th gym, you find a nasty suprise. The 8th gym leader, the FINAL gym leader, is the leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni! This is a final fight against Team Rocket. After a devastating battle, you finally win. But, that's not the end. You will at last get to achieve your dream, battling the Elite Four and the Champion of the Pokemon League! So you go through a long, hard journey through Victory Road, and arrive at the Pokemon League. You battle your way through the Elite Four, and beat them all. Quite challenging at times, and almost never easy... but you win anyway. Then, you have to fight the champion. This is your last battle until victory! But, the champion, turns out to be your rival! This battle will truly determine who is better- you or him! (Personally, I lost twice before I won. He's better then me...). This battle, which is the hardest one yet, must be won by you! The battle is RAGING ON until you finally manage to defeat him. You achieved your dream. (SPOILER OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I would recommend this game to anyone at any age. You'll love it 90% of the way!

My childhood in a cartridge (or at least part of my childhood) I don't even need to review the game itself - you all know it's a classic. If I should point something out, it is that you can get all 3 starters as well as Pikachu. And if you don't care for Pika, you don't have to use him if you don't want to! Be aware that these old Gameboy cartridges rely on a battery to maintain a save file. No battery, no save. And the ones installed at manufacture are now well over 10 years old and many are now failing. Here are 2 solutions: Replace the battery. You will need a new cr1616 battery (worth about £2) and a special screwdriver for Gameboy games (about £5 or ask nicely at any decent 2nd hand game shop if you can use one) Slide apart the cartridge, carefully remove the old battery (might need fine cutters) from the metal contacts, slide in the new battery, secure with a few layers of insulating tape and put it all back together. Mine has been working for a few months no issues. Just make sure you get a decent brand of battery and no knock offs. Get Pokémon Stadium 2 for Nintendo 64 and the Gameboy adapter pack. You can store your items and pokemon on there with no fear of batteries running out. If I'm not playing for a while, I move everything on there in case of battery failure. Enjoy!

One would think an item shown would be the item you receive. However , this is not the case. Over all pretty darn filthy. A simple wipe down I’m sure would remove most the dirt. Do better. On top of it being gross, it doesn’t work. Why not simply state that in the description.
