Solabela® Mumbai 36 Bi-Color Pencil Set -72 Colors

There is no re-usable box to keep them in, but the pencils themselves are great. I seldom (if ever) use a colored pencil all the way down to the nub, so having two different colors on the same pencil makes sense to me. I use them for adult coloring books. I am not a professional artist, so I do not know how they would rank in that respect. I keep them in a fabric/zippered bag I made for my markers and pencils.

This is not the review I expected to write after receiving my pencils. I am not sure what happened but first there was an issue with the carrier notifying me my order was out for delivery on Thursday. Later in the day they notified me that it would not be delivered till Friday. That was strange but not a problem. Then when the package arrived not a single pencil was in the pencil box. They were all loose in the envelope. The box container to the pencils was open both top and bottom. Several of the pencils hadtips broken off. If this set was more expensive I would have returned it. I am mostly glad I didn't.The biggest reason for the return would be the fact that I received 33 pencils for a total of 66 different colors NOT 72. The other three pencils are duplicates.After sharpening my broken tips I had the perfect coloring page to test these pencils. It is about 250 spool shapes side by side. I am very impressed with the quality and color selection for the set. The flesh tones are outstanding. There is not an over abundance of greens and browns. The reds are bright. What impressed me the most is how well the yellows show up and hold up. Often with mandalas I start with a yellow center. By the time iam finished coloring the page the yellow center has almost vanished so I go over it again. That did not happen with this set.My only regret is that I am missing 6 colors because of the duplicates.I find double ended pencils handy for portability. Stick a set in a zip lock bag and grab a coloring book. On a nice day I like to go to the park or the skateboard park to people watch and color.

I would have gone higher but didn't, I wasn't to thrilled with the idea that the lead splits while coloring and on top of that the lead would fall out of the wood casing causing me have to push the lead back into the wood casing. Even at that it caused the wood to split some too. So here I would have to be very careful. I even colored lightly too and it kept splitting and breaking off in the middle of coloring which was frustrating me because here I took the risk of ruining my picture. I gave 2 stars because I do like that it is a 2 colored duel pencil and because there are some nice colors in it. But the lead splitting and breaking off and coming out of it's wood casing is what made me decide to never buy these again because I should not have to continue sharping them just to use them because of these issues.

I want to be as honest as possible. The pencils look really cool, but the colors' quality is just decent/average. It's nothing amazing. You're better off getting more pigment from crayola colored pencils. They're cheaper and better quality. The packaging also sucks. It was already beaten up when I received it. Some of the colors are not true to their image. You might look at the color and think oh this looks like red. No... it's brown. Thanks a lot Solabela lol. Overall, I rate these pencils a 3. If you're going for looks and don't mind light colors, I say go for it. I would not purchase these pencils again.

Not happy with this set of colored pencils. Too many duplicates so the user isn't getting a full 72 array of colors. Not marked with color name or number. Color showing on the pencil for identification will appear to be one color but when applied to paper it turns out to be a totally different color. Each pencil needs to be tested on a separate piece of paper in order to see what the color actually is. As other reviewers have mentioned, the box and plastic tray are extremely flimsy! Be extra careful removing them from the box or else they will land in the floor. Have only sharpened one pencil so far and there was a problem. The lead keeps breaking before getting to a point. Have lost half this pencil already. I can only imagine what the rest of the set will be like. I have used several brands of colored pencils and sadly,this is the worst. I'm debating on returning but haven't decided if it's worth the trouble.

Love coloring with these pencils. Funny that I prefer them over my more expensive brand name color pencils. The colors work well with alcohol markers and provide more richness to the overall look. Bought my second set because my sister wanted to use the same pencils after seeing the result of my colored pages. Wish they would make more colors!

Overall great product. I'm glad I bought them and would do so again. Here are some nit-picky things though: The colors, as some others have mentioned aren't exactly true to what they look like on the pencil when you use them, but that isn't a deal breaker for me. My only true complaint is that they feel very fragile in my hand and I'm afraid to press too hard in fear they will snap in half. It feels sometimes, when I'm applying normal pressure that the pencils are bending. I wish the box were more user-friendly though. Having to remove the entire tray is cumbersome.

This is a fantastic set of colored pencils. I was starting out doing adult coloring books and wanted a nice assortment of colors without spending a lot of money. These pencils surpassed my expectations. The colors are rich and vibrant. There is a nice assortment of all colors. I am very pleased with them and have recommended them to friends.
