I originally bought a pair of these mugs back in 2020 and thought they were fantastic, as they were much larger than the average coffee mug AND had a closeable lid.Unfortunately, I managed to break both mugs recently, hence me needing to buy these new, updated versions.The thing I didn't really favour with my original mugs was the fact that the cork base was glued to the mug, rather than being held in place by a magnet, as it now is in the newer incarnation.I reheat drinks in the microwave frequently, (not recommended in the item description) and didn't care when the cork became warped; I simply prised it off and cleaned off the glue residue. (The use of magnets instead of glue in the updated versions of the mug is a *much* better design as I also have various mug warmers distributed around my house so I can keep my drinks hot wherever I happen to be. The protective cork, however prevents the heat from reaching the liquid as cork is a poor conductor of heat.)I read the warnings about the mugs not being microwaveable due to the magnets, but this wasn't an issue for me, as I'd planned to remove the cork bases - along with the attaching magnets - anyway so I could use the mugs with the aforementioned warmers.The magnets were easily removed with a mini screwdriver as shown in the image.(Some have complained about the glue giving way too easily, which may be true, but this obviously worked in my favour since i needed to remove the magnets in order to make the mugs microwave safe. But had I chosen to leave them in place, it wouldn't have been much of an issue to simply reglue them if they detached.)All in all, these are fantastic pieces of crockery; the recloseable lids are fantastic and do a great job of preserving the heat.

I initially bought two, one for painting on and sending to a customer and the second, I kept for myself. They are lovely feeling mugs, I don't know about you but for me the texture of a mug makes all the difference and these are soft and chunky, not hard and thin like most mugs. It add to the morning cosiness of that first cup of coffee. I don't use the lid, but my customer does, and likes it. The initial one was cream coloured and the new ones are black-grey. I treated myself to new ones because the mug is so nice and I wanted a black version so that when my dad comes round we can both have a really nice cup of coffee from a really nice mug. The cork base is really useful, I keep mine attached to a magnetic surface with the magnets while they are in the dishwasher and then reattach them after. I'd love to know how to get or make replacement bases because the first one is starting to look a bit scruffy. I'll probably figure out how to make one myself because spare bases seem not to be available.The only gripe is that they are a bit expensive but I've looked all over for cheaper equivalent mugs and not found anything this nice.

Lovely quality set of mugs, bought for my brother on his birthday. The only thing we can't seem to do is remove the cork bottom as per the photo and there weren't instructions on how to wash the different elements - otherwise it feels premium and was a nice gift!

Really impressed with these cups. My partner has Parkinsons disease so shakes at times, to the point he cannot carry a hot drink safely so has to call someone through to carry it. I was conscious of not getting 'travel cups' that are metal or plastic, or obviously for a disability.It turns out these mugs are even better than expected! They feel like proper mugs, quality ceramic - and a decent size! Whilst we haven't used them yet they look and feel like great quality and I'm sure will give my partner some independence back in the home - sometimes the smallest things make all the difference!

My set of 2 mugs arrived on Wednesday & I was pleased with their design, colour (black) & the lids. The cork bases makes them safe to put down on any surface. I am on crutches, so carying a full mug is disastrous. The lids help, but remember that they are not a tight seal & the mug will slop if tilted. The cork base is removable for washing, being held in place by a circular magnet in the cork base & another on the bottom of the mug. On Friday the magnet fell out of one of the cork bases, so I used a glue gun to stick it back. On Saturday the magnet fell off the base of a mug, so I'm going to have to glue it back too. This means that in 4 days half of the magnets have fallen out. I've hand washed the mugs, not used a dish washer, & I've not washed the cork bases. So my verdict is that the items look good, but the glue holding the magnets in is not fit for purpose. Yes, I can repair them, but 2 failures in 4 days seems high, get some stronger glue! Now it is Sunday & 2 more magnets have dropped out, I don't think that sticking them back with a glue gun is the answer. What will work?

These mugs are exactly what I was looking for.No more spilt tea whilst negotiating the stairs!They are ceramic, of a good weight and come in a variety of cool colours. The lid has a drinking hole which you can open and close and is very comfortable in use. The only slight downside is that they are a little tricky to wash without getting the cork base wet. But no big deal.They arrived well protected and packaged in a brown box with the company logo on it.Highly recommended.

These are to heavy and big for my husband and I. The outside retains heat excessively which causes it being to hot.It retains the heat of the tea, you can't sometimes see the opening.The Cork bases are meant to be held together with a magnet, this does not hold the cork base to the cup.Worst buy I have had on amazon and not fit for purpose. Certainly not worth the price regardless of the review.

That fact that these solidly made mugs come at an excellent price isn’t important, what is important is, they’re fantastic.They hold the heat incredibly well, more so if you keep the removable lids closed and the removable cork base acts as a coaster.They’re just bril and I highly recommend them.
