Alright, I suppose..
The truth about leather bottom shoes is they fall apart easily. Rubber soles are much more sturdy. With the exception of top end shoes like Edward Green, John Lobb, Purple Label, etc, the leather soles of Allen Edmonds (and Aldens for that matter) will fall apart. Also, Allen Edmonds recommends switching shoes out to let the leather relax back to its original shape - higher end shoes have no such requirement. Overall, nice looking, but lower quality than desired.

Don't be fooled
Let there be no mistake, these shoes are terrible. The leather is rock hard. I am not exagerating. They are lined, which puts them just above a pair of $99 loafers I mistakenly ordered from LLBean a couple of years ago. But the leather upper is just the same, hard, cheap leather - many years - if ever - away from softening. They appear to be put together well but never expect them to flex at the ball. I am a runner and have very durable feet. These shoes cannot be worn without serious pain. They go back in the morning.

Smaller than other Allen Edmonds shoes
This will be a moot point now since the style has been discontinued but these were far smaller than other Allen Edmonds styles that I have purchased previously. I had no choice but to return them.

Less than Allen Edmonds best quality
This shoe fits smaller then it’s typical size

Excellent shoes
I don't like having to spend this much $ just to find shoes that still come in "B" width, but there you are. My 4th pair, all very consistent in fit, superb quality.

Awesome color
Shoes look great, and Allen Edmonds is a quality shoe. Hope it lasts forever like my other shoes from Allen Edmonds.

Durable
I have had a pair of these shoes for two years, worn to work two or three times per week in all types of Kansas weather. Just now developing a hole in the sole, and trying to decide whether to send them to AE for refurbish versus buying a new pair.Other reviewer said they were hard. I found they were initially hard, as are most leather dress shoes, but breaking them in took just a few days. Overall, they have outlasted most of the other shoes I have worn, and are so very comfortable.

These shoes are great!
If you are looking for a long lasting, well-made, shoe that is made right here in America, then look no further. These are one of my favorites.
