Finding a long and reliable VGA cable at a reasonable price can be a challenge. The Cable Matters 10ft cable with ferrites offers excellent value for its performance. The picture quality is good, and I haven't experienced any significant signal issues thanks to the ferrite cores. While VGA isn't the latest technology, it's still necessary for many older devices, and this cable provides a dependable connection without breaking the bank. The build quality seems decent for the price, and the connectors are secure. If you're still using VGA and need a longer cable, this is a cost-effective solution.

Achieves and Maintains My Monitor's Native Resolution
I needed the 25 feet cable run because I wanted to relocate my laptop (a Fujitsu E751 running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit) to another part of my office. From the laptop docking station, I was running dual monitors with SVGA and DVI outputs. The 25' DVI cable I got (From BlueRigger) worked perfectly at the longer run, but the initial SVGA cable that I got from another Amazon vendor did not. For some reason, when the SVGA cable run became 25' (previously it was just 6'), my laptop would not allow the native resolution of my Acer G246HL monitor. I had purchased two new Acer 24" monitors from Costco.com, and their concierge service spent over an hour with me, updating the monitor driver and checking everything else possible that could be causing the loss of resolution. The problem turned out to be the 25' SVGA cable (not from Cable Matters). So in case anyone else decides to increase their SVGA cable run from a laptop docking station, be aware that different maker of the SVGA cable will make a difference. Before solving this loss of resolution problem, I also purchased a 25' SVGA cables from Fry's Electronics, and that cable would only achieve the native resolution (1920x1080) immediately after I plug the cable into the monitor while the laptop is running. After shutting down and restarting the laptop, the laptop would not recognize the monitor make or model with the SVGA connection and would default to a lower generic monitor resolution. But when I unplugged the SVGA cable connector from the back of the monitor and re-plugged it in while the laptop is running, the laptop would then recognize the model and allow the higher native resolution. Very quirky. Finally, I bought this 25' SVGA cable from Cable Matters, and this cable works fine and will recognize the monitor model and maintain the native resolution after rebooting. I still don't know why, but this cable works and that's all that matters.

Needed a little longer cable when I moved my PC. This Cable Matters VGA 10 footer worked perfect. And I saved a few bucks buying an Amazon return.

Seem well made and working fine. Much cheaper than a new monitor
I've only had these cables for a short time, but they appear to be working just fine. I needed one more monitor for work, and these cables are much cheaper than buying a new monitor. The cables were delivered as promised, and the packaging was what I would normally expect for cables. I don't see any issues with the picture quality, but it IS a VGA monitor. Seem to be working fine for me!

Excellent cable. Costs more but worth it! Clear text at 1080P HD resolution
You pay more but it’s a better cable. Ferrite cores help produce a clear image with sharp text. I compared this to another cable that was $4 cheaper and the less expensive cable had a terrible picture with ghosting and blurry text. Of course I am returning the other lower quality cables for a refund.Definitely buy this cable from Cable Matters if you care about image quality. It’s more expensive but your eyes will thank you.
