In the pot, the colour I brought is very vibrant and deep. Initially surprised at how “thick” the paint appeared to be but with either a smooth emulsion (Harris) roller or a brush (for cutting in/edges) it went on really well, smoothly and covered reasonable large areas with one roller full. Brush loaded well and applied to the wall smoothly.One coat looked OK, but the colour came alive with the second coat.Very smooth finish and little to no smell when applied or as drying. Was touch dry very quickly, certainly within the manufacturers 2 hour timeframe; re- coat able at the 4 hour mark.Very little splatter when applied with the roller.One can argue that it’s a bit pricey, but I’d argue all day long that its value for money given its, in my humble opinion, quality and application.

Love this paint. Covers the wall with ease and the quality of paint is high. It pours thick but spreads easily and covers a large area with little amounts. It leaves a smooth texture and gives a nice effect on the wall. Definitely great value for money and would certainly buy again.Definitely does what it says on the tin. Very effective

I haven’t long applied this paint, so I will update the review if there are any problems. The paint is nice and thick, but goes on easily, with a synthetic hair paintbrush or roller. Despite it’s thickness, you will need to apply a second coat, even with an undercoat. I used emulsion as an undercoat, 2 coats of it. I didn’t think I liked to colour at first, but after the second coat, it looks really nice, fair play.The only real downside is the pretty ridiculous price. Now I got 3 tins of it when Amazon had the Prime promotion, at the beginning of October. It was £15 odd a tin, with the RRP being £22.99. So why is Amazon and other retailers charging £30+? Everything, price wise, just seems to be artificially inflated to suit greed, these days. I need more, but will see if I can get it cheaper from elsewhere.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Gorgeous paint. Applies really easy it’s quite thick so no drips. The colour I chose is very natural and clean looking I could paint the whole house with this paint I love it that much

This is a beautiful colour but my god it takes some work 🤯 my original colour was light grey so should have been fairly easy to paint over and cover. However it was so difficult to do so. The paint is quite thin so it took about 3 coats to cover my very light grey walls, I only managed to do 2 small walls with one tin because it took so much re covering. Very hard work. Also the colour looks very dark plum when you paint it on but it does dry into a brighter purple so don’t be alarmed when you see the colour first done. I’m not impressed with Johnson’s paint anymore my last paint of theirs kept getting dirty marks and finger prints all over constantly and I have no young children so it’s not like it’s easy to get dirty marks on. Very disappointing won’t be using Johnson’s paint anymore.
