A Diamond in the Rough (Literally): The Lansky D-SHARP Delivers
Folks, let me tell you about the time I stumbled upon the holy grail of knife sharpeners: the Lansky D-SHARP Diamond Pull Through Quad Angle Knife Sharpener. Now, I've used my fair share of knife sharpeners, but this one? It's like the unicorn of the culinary world. A green gem that shines brighter than emeralds. For starters, this little green wonder has four different angles for sharpening. That's right, FOUR. It's like having your own personal knife-sharpening ninja, ready to make every blade razor-sharp. I mean, I'm pretty sure this thing could sharpen a spoon if you really wanted it to. Now, let's talk about the diamond pull-through feature. This bad boy is so smooth and efficient, it feels like you're sharpening your knives on a cloud made of pure luxury. I've managed to turn my old, dull knives into precision instruments that would make any sushi chef green with envy. The Lansky D-SHARP is also incredibly compact and portable. It's become a party trick of sorts – "Hey, watch me turn this butter knife into a samurai sword!" (Disclaimer: Do not attempt to turn butter knives into samurai swords. Results may vary.) And let's not forget the safety features. This thing's got a rubberized grip and thumb rest, so you don't have to worry about any slippage while you're sharpening away. I feel as secure as a bank vault using this thing, and that's saying something. In conclusion, the Lansky D-SHARP Diamond Pull Through Quad Angle Knife Sharpener is truly a game-changer. It's taken my knife game from dull and lifeless to sharp and sensational. If you want to have the sharpest knives this side of a five-star restaurant, look no further than this little green miracle worker. So go ahead, treat yourself and your knives to a Lansky D-SHARP. You'll be slicing, dicing, and chopping with the finesse of a culinary master in no time. And who knows? You might just become the envy of all your friends and family, too.

Very versatile and mine is still working.
I wanted to wait a little bit and see how this worked over time. I've had it a year this month and use it pretty regularly. First of all, it does work. You won't get a perfect edge, but you'll get a very good one. It's certainly enough for most uses. The ability to grind to any bevel you would commonly need is really nice. I've got a couple of nice knives that I keep at 17°, but the handax gets 30. I've sharpened a lot of knives and it seems to still have enough diamond material to do the trick. I haven't noticed it not sharpening anyway. It's also very well built. It's a solid chunk of metal with nuts holding it together and they have not come loose over a Year's use. It's a little heavier than you would want to carry in a pocket, but it's certainly something I carry in my work bag. It's good enough that I gave three of them to people for Christmas gifts this year and they all like them

This diamond is only for finishing a blade.
It does what it says about sharpening a blade, but only if it's already close to the final angle and finish. This thing does not remove enough material to sharpen a very dull blade but it can keep a decent blade sharp if used regularly. The best "garbage to good" portable blade sharpener I've used is the carbide and ceramic one from Sharpal. It cleaned up some general purpose shop knives to bery sharp in under 2 minutes. This diamond one is nice though for edge maintenance.

Great on the go sharpener
This is a good sharpener. If you are a knife collector who wants pretty perfect knives all the time, this isn't for you. You will want to spend some money to buy a high end sharpener. If you are a worker who uses your knives and need to keep a crispy edge on your blade so you don't wreck yourself with it, then drop one of these in your pocket. Not only does it give you angle options, it uses round diamond rods to shape your edge not the usual flat carbide scraper blades. All the guys at my work carry knives for cutting chores during the day and they know who to come to when they want their knife edge cleaned up. Now they want to buy one. Lets face it if you actually use your knife it probably isn't pretty, and you just want to put an edge on it quick and get back to work, with a lansky you can do that in about a minute, drop it back in your pocket and get back to work. I have been using them for years and they work! This is the best one yet.in my picture you can see my "to go" kit it includes my lansky blade medic, my new D-sharp, and a wood stick with a piece of leather glued to it, along with a small stick of buffing compound to strop the edge for a razor finish. This is all you need to keep things super sharp. I put it all in a small zippered pouch and throw it in with my tools, done. Cheap money to keep your edges sharp.

The Lanksy QuadSharp Knife Sharpening System - QSHARP
This is surprisingly heavy; but, it doesn't bother me unless I put it in my purse instead of in the pocket of my blue jeans. It is well made & does the job. You just need to figure out which slots you want to use. It isn't the easiest knife sharpened to use; however, it becomes easier the more you use it. I recommend this little sharpener. I keep one in my car, another one in my truck, one in my kitchen "junk" drawer & one in my woodworking shop.
