Great hidden lock for drawer or hidden shelf
Lock worked great. Good instructions. Had templates for installing the lock on a drop down shelf. However, I couldn't use the templates. Key cards worked great. The initial registration card was setup perfectly and the was able to register the remaining user cards. Also found out, and if I had read all the instructions, leaving the registration card on the lock long enough, it will reset ALL cards, so you will have to go back and reregister them. If battery power is drained too much, it will automatically unlock one time, giving you a chance to replace them.Great product and I would recommend the seller to anyone

These are SUPER SNAZZY and Very Nicely Priced!
The media could not be loaded. I have to say... this is perhaps the BEST DEAL I have seen in locks for a long time!!I bought TWO of these to put on our liquor cabinets where we had some teen visitors snooping around recently. But these excellent, well-built SOLID locks work perfectly to keep them out, without arguments!!I was a bit concerned about just how BIG the pieces were, and if I was going to be able to spare that much room in the cabinet for the main lock part.... But just rethinking the issue, I put the main lock part on the DOOR instead of on the CABINET itself, and that solved the problem nicely.I guess you can do it either way, but this worked out GREAT!I'm very impressed with the concept of those keys or RFID dongles.. as being either a MASTER or a GUEST card/fob.So only the MASTER can program other fobs as well as open the lock; but the GUEST ones can only OPEN things... can't PROGRAM new ones.I decided to see if I could use some of my other RFID cards or fobs with these locks... Nope. Seems they only work with their own. But that's ok... there are FOUR options... two fobs and two cards with each lock. PLUS, if you prefer, you can progam MULTIPLE locks to respond to the same key fob/card. Excellent! So that's just what I did. I went ahead and programmed two or three fobs to have some extras, but I ahve the MASTER card stored in a safe place because only it can reprogram the other cards.Absolutely nifthy... this is a GREAT SET and a super GREAT DEAL! Reasonably priced.See my video for how it works.

Universal enough to work in a wide variety of applications
The media could not be loaded. I added a new "vintage" drawer unit in my home, and wanted to convert a drawer to secure storage. I've been considering RFID for a while, and after seeing the positive reviews decided to give this unit a try.For the price, it's an excellent option. The overall design is simple, and the 2 strike plate locations allow for a few different mounting options. However, it may not work for your particular application. The only way I could see this being even more universal is if the RFID sensor could be manually repositioned. For my application, I had a bit of room behind the drawer, but not quite enough to mount it in the longer configuration. To get around this, I made a custom mount for the latch piece that attached to the back of the drawer. A competent woodworker should be able to make an adapter for existing furniture, or design a custom application altogether using these latches. As far as programming the lock, I had no issues getting all the keys programmed to it. I chose to use rechargeable batteries, and my drawer unit would allow me to change the batteries without having to open the locked drawer. I also hooked up the USB power, but the included cord is extremely short, and proprietary to this lock. It would be better if it was a standard USB connector on the lock.Mounting the unit wasn't too difficult. The double sided tape helps with positioning, but the templates are worthless. Just put the unit in place and push the screws in to mark any pilot holes. The sensor works well enough. I don't want to add the "target" sticker on my furniture, so it has taken a little bit of practice to hit the sweet spot. The sensor works through about 1" of hardwood with no problems.Overall, I think this is a cheap way to add RFID locks to a variety of locations. I will be ordering another one of these to try with additional drawers I'd like to add locks to. I took off one star for the proprietary USB power cord.

Great RFID lock for the price.
The media could not be loaded. We use these locks on concealment cabinets and they work perfectly. They can be tricky to align perfectly but the included double sided tape helps a lot (I've never used the included template.)The lock is nice and strong...we had someone remove their batteries and then close the cabinet and the only way to get back in without causing major damage was by drill through the back of the cabinet.Initial programming can be a pain if you don't get it right the first go round (and the instructions are not written all that well.) Here's what I've found works best:1) Put the batteries in.2) Hold the card you want to be the master card to the unit. You will hear a series of beeps and the lock will disengage.3) Immediately, while the lock is disengaged, swipe the remaining cards and key fobs individually. The unit will beep once as each card/fob is swiped. You've got to be quick and swipe all of them before the lock engages. If you don't get them all programmed in the first go round it is a pain in the rear to reset because if you don't press the reset button just right it puts the unit into the other modes (double card, single card, etc.)We've never used the auxiliary power cord so I can't attest to how well it works.
