RELAXONCHAIR [MK-II Plus Full Body Zero Gravity Shiatsu Massage Chair with Built-in Heat and Air Massage System - Chocolate

I investigated at least a dozen other massage chairs before selecting Relaxonchair, and I chose it because it had the best features for the price. Specifically, the features I valued in order of importance were: the L-track (massage from neck to butt), arm massage, foot massage, shoulder massage, and a program that puts them together to "stretch" you. Relaxonchair does all of these and quite well so I gave it 5 stars.There was only one other chair (the Kahuna Massage Chair at $1900) that had similar features at a similar price. I wish I could have tried it side by side with Relaxonchair, but welcome to the mail-order society. I have tried more expensive chairs, including chairs at trade shows and Costco, and they were not significantly better. For the past 8 years I owned a massage chair with fewer features (comparable to chairs costing $800-$1000 now) and I think the Relaxonchair is definitely worth the difference. Thus the title of this review.Here are a few details on the Relaxonchair specifically. The packaging was adequate, no delivery damage. Unpacking was easy. Assembly of the footrest didn't even require me reading the instructions. Moving into place on its wheels didn't scuff my floor (although I recommend using two people when moving because it does weigh 200 pounds). Operating the controls was easier than my last chair, but still only fair. I have yet to see a really intuitive interface on any chair. There are only 4 preset programs. They are all good but I wish there were more. Only number IV seems to do the stretching I like. When you turn on the chair it automatically reclines a bit, which I like. When the massage finishes it turns off, which is fine. But if you want more massage (and usually you do) and you turn the chair on again the chair returns upright and shuts off, which is inconvenient because you must then turn on the chair once more and wait for the automatic reclining before you can continue massaging.Some reviewers said the foot massage is too hard. Yes, it is, but a folded towel solves the "problem" easily. Some reviewers said tall people won't fit. I am six foot and fit fine except when completely prone. Then, if I stretch, my butt tends to lift out of the "L" pocket. No problem, though, if your knees are slightly bent.The back heat feature is not as strong as my last chair, so I would rate it below average. Keep a blanket around if you get cold. The "zero gravity" "feature" of this and other chairs seems to mean "head and feet at same height". My last chair had this "feature" and didn't even know it. I think it is marketing hype and did not give it any weight in this review. My final gripe is the headrest. There is none. There is a pad that goes from head to upper back, presumably for people who find the back rollers too hard. I prefer hard back rollers so I don't need the pad. Now I have to ask my wife to sew me a head-only pillow with appropriate velcro. But that isn't a big problem because my wife is very nice. She let me buy the chair after all!

Initial 1st day review, I plan to update at 30 days and 6 monthsDelivery - large box. The delivery guys said it wouldn't get through the front door, but I think it would have, but we brought it in through the french doors. To get it around the house it had to be unboxed and it's a squeeze. I managed myself but recommend 2 people. It does have wheels to use if you tilt it. It also recommends a rug underneath it. I don't have one yet and the noise isn't bad without it and i see no damage to the floor, but I will probably get one soon.Setup - The instructions were in broken English and difficult to read, but they had emailed some clearer ones, regardless the setup was simple(put a pin to join 2 bars)Use - Works as described. Very comfortable. Relaxing, hits all the spots. I'm a little sore today due to a little over enthusiastic testing :) but that's all good. Have I been in better ones?, yes, but they have all been 4x the price. For the price I love it. My biggest challenge is staying away from it right now.

Overall it is a very luxurious high quality chair. I wish the directions came a little more detailed. The buttons are not backlit and I like to sit in the chair in the dark. So it is problematic. The arm air massagers as well as the foot rollers are a little aggressive. I wish there was more attention to the neck and shoulders. The chair arrived in two weeks and fit easily through my 31” door frame. As long as you have two people you should be able to maneuver the chair into your home. The bottom rollers were very helpful. I am thrilled with my purchase. I chose the brown color even though the gray was more appealing in hopes that the darker liner wouldn’t show dirt as much.

This chair is amazing. It performs like it says it will. It is nearly identical to the ones at our local mall so we were pleased. My husband has had 4 back surgeries and it has been a Godsend. We both use it daily. I like the ability to use the options or presets. Went together easy, no issues. Delivery was to the door and we used a standard "dolly" to bring it in the house. Helps if you have french doors as the box is large.Now for a few opinions from our houseguests: this chair will not easily accomodate folks who have hips that are much wider than the average adult male. The reason is the side massager makes the seat area a bit snug. Not sure if removed that the chair would work properly. Also shorter adults (5'0"-5'2") or adults taller than 6'2'' did not enjoy full benefit of the upper portion of the chair. I am 5'6'' and my husband is 6'0'' and works great for us. Remember this is just our opinion so go try before you buy with a similar sized massage chair at a mall if you have general size/weight/fit/height related concerns. We checked out the return process and would have to repackage and transport the chair to a shipping vendor on our own so having peace of mind knowing that barring any defect we would not be returning it for any of the aforementioned concerns made this an easy investment.
