Worked Great
I had a rusted nut on my tie rod end I couldn’t get off for the life of me. I had spent a few hours on it using all the usual methods of penetrating oils and tried heating it with a heat gun since I didn’t have a torch. The car is about 30 years old and still had the original tie rod ends and didn’t want to let go of this nut.I decided to give the nut splitters a try before resulting to cutting it off. I went ahead and took my dremel with a cutoff wheel attached and made a cut about halfway into the nut. That way the splitter wasn’t stuck doing all the work and potentially taking the risk of damaging it. Plus I wanted to return them if they didn’t work. Sure enough it split the nut with very little effort or force and I was able to spin it off.So looks like I’ll be hanging onto this set for the future cause I’m sure this won’t be my last rusted stuck nut. I recommend using a dremel or something to cut into the nut first about halfway and using the splitter to do the rest. That way the nut splitter should last a long time.

These work really well when you get into stubborn situations
You know how it goes, you are working on exhaust, you've fought well removing all the stuck nut/bolt combos, using pretty much every trick in the book. But you need to remove that LAST bolt and of course, it is the worse of them all, rusted solid, frozen, and you have used up every curse word in the book and lots of time.In my case, I got the bolt and nut to break free but I ended up rounding off every point and could not get it to grab any further to back it off the bolt! Defeated I decided to order this tool along with and a bolt extractor kit.Since the nut was froze on the bolt, I decided to just remove the nut with this splitter tool and have the extractor set ready to go if needed. The splitter worked well! I split the nut in three places, it finally fell off and victory was mine!! I would recommend using a breaker bar or something with lots of leverage to make things super quick. Overall it did what I needed, removed the nut!I've used this set twice and they still work well. My second time was a stubborn lower strut bolt. Those strut bolts are heavy duty, thick, and the tool once again came through and cracked through the nut! That's two uses where this toolset came into play and saved the day!Would highly recommend to have on the side just incase you run into situations!

Works even when broken
Like many have said, the little set screw is laughably undersized for the task. I had 4 tire lug nuts to break and the set screw sheared in two on the second nut. That said, it still works. The main problem is making sure the anvil doesn't spin with the tightening of the nut breaker. If you get good purchase, the tool still works. This works best in a flat application. Working inside the steel wheel of my trailer tires was a bit of a misery. Since the lug nuts are "recessed" inside the wheel there are only a few orientations that will work at all and the nut breaker keeps wanting to lift off of the nut. With a lot of effort, it did do the job. Because my lug nuts were REALLY rusted on, I had to break the nuts in two and three places to be able to then whack it off with a hammer and chisel.Bottom line is that it was a lot of work, but in the end, it DID work. It did take a couple of hours to get all four lug nuts split and hammered off. If it was working in an open and flat environment (say, a cylinder head) then it probably would have worked in about half the time.I plan to keep this set even though the set screw snapped. Still works, but just a bit harder to make sure everything stays lined up.
