New Braswell Celeron Quad Core Mini PC,Fanless PC,HTPC,with 2G RAM 64G SSD Rich IO: Dual HDMI Dual LAN USB2.0 USB3.0 Wifi,4K, Sliver

I bought the bare (No RAM & SSD) version to run a pfSense firewall. I paired it with Kingston SMS200S3/60G (60GB) mSATA SSD and Kingston KVR16LS11/4 (4GB) SODIMM module.The packaging is sparse and no instructions are included, but if you know the difference between mSATA and SODIMM then you should be fine. It comes with a plastic stand (which allows it to be stood vertically), a decent looking 3A PSU (which runs very cool) and an (unfused!) figure-8 to UK plug power lead.Sturdy construction - it is indeed all-aluminium. Access is by removing the bottom panel; even once the four screws are removed, the panel is a tight fit. It is necessary to lever up the panel using the screw holes.There is space for a 2.5inch disk drive (and the necessary SATA cable is provided). I am unsure if there is a sufficient cooling for a spinning disk (YMMV), but a 2.5inch SSD would be fine. It has a single SODIMM slot and an mSATA slot. The mPCIe slot is occupied by the Wifi adapter.Even when worked hard, the CPU temperature remains under 60°C. In normal use as a pfSense firewall, it is showing about 42°C.I am using pfSense 2.3.2 amd64 full-install version. The only issues I had was that both the WAN and WIFI interfaces needed to have 1500 MTU manually set on them to work reliably, but this is a pfSense/FreeBSD quirk rather than an issue with the PC.It has an American Megatrends-type BIOS, with a large number of configurable items accessible.The Wifi adapter is Atheros AR9485/AR5B125 and is 2.4GHz only, but it's pretty solid as an access point. The LAN adapters are RealTek 8111-series; even when working hard, the interupt load seems to be very low and all hardware offload features appear to work fine in pfSense/FreeBSD.The Celeron processor (N3150) is reasonably modern and low power. It will never be a screamer but it has AES-NI so it's great as a firewall and VPN endpoint.Overall, strongly recommended.

There's a few events which led to my purchase of this amazing little device. Firstly, I discovered unknown devices using my home wifi. Secondly, my computer was infected with a so-called 'ransomware' virus and I was forced to pay a ransom to get my data back. After this, I decided that it was time to 'beef up' my security. I'm a hardware guy by nature and profession, so the whole thing was a big learning experience for me. It's only now I realise how vulnerable the average user is.Anyway, after some research, I settled on this little device to run pfSense as a replacement for my old Netgear router. It runs flawlessly. I've segmented my network into VLANs to keep trusted and untrusted devices away from each other. I'm using pfSense as a wifi access point and radius server to do WPA2 Enterprise wifi, authenticating with certificates. This should keep my hacker busy for a long time.I whipped the back cover off for a look. The SSD is Lite-On, the RAM is Crucial, the Wifi card is Atheros based chip. All brand name stuff.The seller was very friendly and communicative. He explained to me that the item ships from China to the Netherlands before its handed over to UPS for the final leg delivery. It takes about a week before it will be tracked on the UPS website, so don't worry in the meantime. Because of this arrangements, there are no import duty, taxes or fees to pay.The only thing to be wary of is the power supply. It looks OK on the outside and seems to work OK, but it is obviously a copy of a Sony laptop PSU. The mains figure-of-8 lead that it ships with is a tiny moulded plug without a fuse. Do yourself a favour and throw it away straight away. You need a lead with a proper plug and 1A fuse. The combination of a cheap power supply and unfused lead is not a sensible one.I'm considering buying another one of these units to replace my big, hot media centre PC. Amazing how far hardware has come in 7 years.

While the system seemed to be OK initially I installed a printer driver and was about to install a scanner utility, when the unit froze, no mouse or keyboard access, display was locked. I powered down and tried to restart, but was quickly shown the SETUP screen. I checked the settings and tried to restart, couldn't boot at all.To fault find I plugged in my Windows install USB and it booted to it, tried to check for the SATA SSD but it wasn't available.Rechecked BIOS, there was no option to add the SSD. Tried an older SATA drive, and it was seen by the BIOS. Tried the SSD on the older setup and no activity at all. Results showed that the drive had passed away, gone, deceased, is no more a Colorful SSD drive.I am not hopeful of a replacement from the seller, but have notified them. I am confused as the drive shows Colorful Solid State Drive on top and Crucial BX300 2.5 SSD on the underside. Comparing some logos with other Crucial devices shows inconsistencies. I am unsure if these are thrown together bits from failed parts. I will update should there be a positive outcome, in the mean time I have ordered a replacement drive and see what happens.I have similar Braswell kit running as web servers for almost a year without at failure at all, this was the reason for my purchase, hopefully this is just a drive issue. Fingers crossed...Update.My opinion of the company supplying this product is still positive, they are willing to replace the faulty ssd. My opinion is it isn't with the hassle, I think it was just bad luck. They have been very good making offers to replace refund etc. That in itself gives great confidence in them and I will buy again from them knowing their care for their customer. I've purchased a replacement drive and happy all is working as it should, superb support.

Cercavo un piccolo PC da configurare come firewall, che consumasse poco, fosse silenzioso e avesse chiaramente 2 interfaccie di rete.Ho trovato questo che rispettava tutte le caratteristiche che cercavo.Il computer e' di ottima fattura, contiene una mainboard con scheda audio realtek, 2 schede di rete sempre realtek, una wifi atheros, scheda video intel 3d, e bios american megatrends. Il mio e' arrivato con ssd kingston e windows 10 preinstallato.Premesso che non e' un pc gaming o per grafica, posso comunque confermare che vale il prezzo d'acquisto (io lo ho pagato 189, ho visto che ora costa 20 euro in meno). Il case e' in alluminio (non plasticaccia metallizzata), con il coperchio superiore intagliato ad alette dissipative.I componenti sono standard, quindi vengono riconosciuti senza problemi e i driver sia per windows che per BSD si trovano facilmente.La temperatura segnata dal sensore del processore, dopo 4 ore di condizioni standard di lavoro, con una temperatura ambientale di 20 gradi e' di appena 26.7 gradi. L'assorbimento di corrente, rilevato sull'ups, e' di 4-5wE' un prodotto che consiglierei.

Bien protégé.J'avais besoin d'une petite machine sans ventilateurs pour avoir un vrai routeur digne de ce nom.La machine est arrivée avec windows 10 installé avec un utilisateur existant : aucune configuration nécessaire.D'aspect solide et de bonne qualité, totalement en Aluminium.Je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher d'ouvrir la trappe (4 vis du dessous) pour regarder à l'intérieur (la trappe n'est pas parfaitement à la taille j'ai dû forcer un peu mais peu importe):Pour ma part on retrouve un slot unique de ram occupé par un barrete de 2go kingstong en DDR3L.La carte wifi mpcie Atheros incluse (ar5b125) est uniquemment 2.4Ghz, je l'ai donc subtitué par une Atheros Ar5bhb92-hrecyclé d'un vieux pc portable pour bénéficier du 5Ghz.le ssd de 32Go fourni est un msata de marque sandisk d'après le bios (ssd non démonté).Les ports ethernet sont des Realtek 8111D, les deux ports hdmi fonctionnent, les ports usb3 aussi, je n'ai pas essayé les usb2.Le bios est un american megatrends qui regorge d'options.pfSense tourne parfaitement dessus (Préférer une cle de 4go : ma 32go provoquait des erreurs kernels à l'installation)Malgré les nic Realtek 8111D, aucun souci avec du 300 Mbits constant, je n'ai pas de gigabits pour le moment pour tester.Il chiffre à la volée mon trafic wifi en openVpn.Ne produit absolument aucun bruit: c'est agréable mais je constate que le boitier chauffe un peu; la sonde CPU indique 50.0°C en utilisation classique alors qu'il fait très chaud (il fait 38°C à l'ombre au moment du relevé).Une petite LED bleue sur l'avant indique l'état de la machine, elle est assez discrète.Le vendeur répond rapidement sur Skype.Bref je recommande, très bon produit pour en faire un routeur, un boitier TV ou un ordinateur basique.Edition 21 mai 2018 (1 an et 1 jour après achat):La machine marche toujours très bien, le routeur fait toujours très bien son travail au quotidien. Alcune distribuzioni linux fanno i capricci in fase di installazione con il riconoscimento delle porte usb3Ho installato Openmediavault per trasformarlo in un nas con dischi usb3, performance al di sopra delle aspettative.Avendo due schede di rete e una wifi, lo sto usando anche come AP usando hostapdAspetto non di poco conto, si avvia senza monitor collegato.Esperienza con il venditore:Premetto che il prodotto mi è arrivato dopo circa 45 giorni, ma sono stato particolarmente sfortunato io.Il venditore ha sempre risposto alle mail e ha cercato in tutti i modi di risolvere il problema della consegna tardiva.E' stato immediatamente disponibile a rimborsare totalmente le spese di spedizione e a spedire un secondo pacco per accelerare i tempi di consegna.Nella sfortuna, sono stato fortunato ad avere interlocutori cortesi, disponibili e serie.

Ho ordinato il miniPC ed è arrivato dopo due settimane. Il case di alluminio è ben fatto, i piedini in gomma sono alti, quindi si ha una buona aereazione nella parte sottostante. E' un pò "luminoso" nel senso che le due ethernet poste nel retro, quando collegate blinkano in continuazione, mentre nella parte anteriore si vede una lucina di colore blu neon. Le due antenne wireless sembrano di qualità mediocre, però penso si possano upgradare senza problemi. Dall'interno non si sente provenire nessun rumore (fanless). Le dimensioni sono grossomodo 17x13x4 cm.L'imballo è stato fatto bene, con un paio di fogli di millebolle, mentre all'interno dello scatolotto non ho trovato alcun tipo di foglietto, istruzione, specifica tecnica. L'alimentatore esterno è standard quindi facilmente sostituibile in caso di necessità.Ho installato pfsense, tutto viene visto e tutto funziona. Le due interfacce ethernet vengono rilevate come realtek mentre quella wireless è una atheros. L'ho configurato agevolmente come access point, per andare a sostituire quello presente nel modem/router fornito dal provider. Le prestazioni sono buone, anche se il mio ambiente "home" non riesce probabilmente a spremerlo a dovere. Il miniPC è dotato di chip crittografico AES-NI basato su CPU Intel. Non ho ancora messo in pista una VPN per testarne le potenzialità.Molto consigliato per chiunque consideri "ostile" il modem/router del proprio provider e desideri isolare la propria rete domestica con un firewall tipo pfSense.

Sto usando questo mini pc da un mese come router/firewall al posto del router fornito dal provider. Ho installato una Debian 9 minimale e tutti i componenti sono stati riconosciuti e funzionano perfettamente, compresa la scheda WIFI, una Atheros AR9285, usata come access point. Ottima la dissipazione del calore, nonostante l'assenza di ventole. Il processore supporta AES-NI, migliorando le prestazioni di alcune VPN e rendendo il prodotto compatibile anche con PfSense. Gli unici difetti riscontrati sono la presenza di sole due interfacce ethernet e il fatto che la scheda wifi non supporti il 5GHz. Prodotto consigliatissimo.

Je cherchais un minipc sans ventilateur et peu encombrant et celui-ci est conforme (0 Db et pas de bruit mécanique, le bonheur), mais ....cela a commencé avec des soucis d'alimentation: celle livrée d'origine ne fonctionnait pas dès le premier jour (0V au lieu de 12V en sortie) le vendeur m'a repondu tres rapidement et m'a envoyé une nouvelle alimentation en colissimo qui fonctionnait parfaitement. Bon point.Mais ce n'était que la partie émergée de l'iceberg ! :(le PC se bloque parfois sans raison (il est tres chaud).Le vendeur m'a conseillé de retirer le SSD et le reinstaller, ce que j'ai fait: ca marche mieux mais le pc bloque toujours parfois.Au demarrage, il arrive que le SSD ne soit pas reconnu et on arrive alors directement sur le BIOS (vu qu'il ne trouve pas de disk pour boot). un appui sur le bouton stop/start et il repart en retrouvant ses petits..., mais tous ces plantages ne sont pas des signes de qualités !....Pourtant la qualité exterieure perçue est bonne: boitier en aluminium correct, 4x ports USB3, 2xports HDMI.le processeur N3150 n'est pas un foudre de guerre, mais bon ce n'est pas ce qu'on attendait de lui. A peine mieux que mon vieil core2 duo sur mon pc HP. ce qui est sensé etre sa qualité c'est sa consommation: TDP=6W, en pincipe il consomme peu et chauffe peu pour ce niveau de performance ce qui est plutot important pour un minipc fanless et c'est vrai en general quand le minipc fonctionne sans incident.le minipc est livré avec Windows 10 pro preinstallé, mais il faut activer la licence (l'acheter), je suis parti sur un Linux Ubuntu qui detecte correctement le materiel et fonctionne correctement.Configuration matérielle suffisante pour une utilisation bureautique et internet.le prix est tres abordable, mais vu les problemes rencontres je ne suis pas du tout convaincu du rapport qualite/prix. Mieux vaut mettre plus cher pour un materiel constructeur certifie et fiable (si c'est ce que vous cherchez)A vous de voir donc en fonctiion de ce que vous voulez faire avec ce minipc

Habe nach genau solch einem PC gesucht: 4 USB 3.0, sparsam, klein. Benutze den PC als Server für meine externen USB 3.0 Festplatten und als Download Manager. Die Geschwindigkeit überzeugt. Es ist zwar Window s10 Professional vorinstalliert leider jedoch ohn Lizenz. Bei dem Pries kann man die aber auch nicht noch zusätzlich verlangen. Derzeit ist Update sowieso noch kostenlos.

Este mini PC es ideal para experimentar con varias cosas, va muy bien como media center con todo lo que he probado, como miniservidor/NAS/Webserver, corriendo cualquier Linux. Tiene algún problema con las memorias, no todas funcionan. El soporte muy bien, se puede contactar por Skype y responden rápidamente.

Au début faisait à peu près son travail, l'ouverture du boîtier est simple, on insère sa barrette de ram son ssd ou hdd et c'est parti ! En utilisation sous linux gros soucis d'affichage en mode texte l'image sautait de temps en temps (effet flicker) la carte wifi indiquée comme 300mb n'est en fait qu'à 150mb avec une portée vraiment médiocre. Me servait de passerelle internet et serveur de fichier, a rendu l'âme au bout de 15jseul point positif : consommait vraiment peu d'énergie et sans bruit.

Après quelques difficultés, tout fonctionne correctement sur cette configuration. L'OS installer ne m'arrangeais pas, mais la prochaine fois je m'efforcerais de le conserver si possible. (licence Win10 qui est un cauchemar mdr)Réactivité et compétence du vendeur ont fait la différence, l'appui d'Amazon sur ses fournisseurs aussi, service parfait bravo Amazon.Je recommande vivement d'utiliser le CHAT qui est vraiment bien pensé et très utile pour régler rapidement une difficulté.Seul bémol, les délais de livraison, presque un mois, c'est long.Une livraison en express pour les pros serait idéale

Htpc con buenas prestaciones y buen rendimiento. Lo tengo al lado de la TV y nos ayuda a ver lo que queremos en cada momento.

Fonctionne déjà avec le système Windows installé, mais aussi avec une Debian. Peut servir de serveur multimedia, il n'est pas du tout bruyant et ne chauffe pas plus qu'une box ADSL.

Mini PC très bien conçu au niveau du refroidissement. C'est le boitier en aluminium qui dissipe parfaitement le CPU. Les antennes Wifi sont fournies ainsi que la connectique pour un disque 2.5" SATA.La qualité d'assemblage est vraiment bonne.Le câble d'alimentation est très long.Il n'y a pas de voyant pour l'activité disque mais ce n'est pas vraiment un problème avec un SSD.
