This installment continues Brawley’s ascension to full Power Mage. Action on top of action ON TOP OF action, this series simply does not quit. Ever. Kinda saw the outcome for the Carnal strand coming, but still WAAAAY satisfying when it hit.Just about every agency on the map, both fuggle ant Psi, are after Brawley and company. Some (most) for their own nefarious purpose. Others, hunting equally hard, for purposes as yet not clear. Everybody wants Brawley, dead or alive, and every step he takes endangers not only himself, but his beautiful and devoted wives. He’s wounded and hurting. He needs to open the strand that will help him heal when he needs it most. Finally opening that strand is the highlight of this very enjoyable book.Buy this book. Buy the first one if you haven’t already. Whatever you do, though, don’t NOT read Power Mage.Mr. Author - congrats and thanks/kudos on your work with this series. Simply riveting stuff. Cannot wait for the next installment. I, and your other devotees, expect new installments on a pretty regular schedule (what price, fame?) In return, we will shower your work with reviews. Understood, going in, that not every installment can be a blockbuster. But we DO expect your best effort with each one. So, standard contract between author and fans - author’s best effort = fans honest review of a beloved work. And honestly, this series is pretty awesome so far. All BS aside, ‘Thanks. Great job. REALLY enjoyed it, and looking forward to the next one’.

I read book 2 in one sitting. It’s a short book at a little over 3 hours, and while I liked it much better than book 1 it did have a few issues.The Good: the cowboy and his women are in fine form. They make a great team, even better I think then in Dan. The action is much more consistent and we get to see the carnals up close and personal.Seeing Brawley start to work with his strands was also a big improvement. It made for a satisfying ending.The not quite so good: this is a very short book, 50k words max I would think. The action scenes were great, but the time between the action felt rushed. There is also the lack of a long term plan, besides getting all seven women. As it is it seems like they’re wandering through Florida just reacting to things happening around them. I’d like to seeBrawley and the girls go on the offensive at some point.Still, these complaints are minor. I thoroughly enjoyed Power Mage 2 and like the direction it is heading.4/5*

After a solid beginning in the first book, this one kicks it up a notch. I really enjoy the world in this series, and am intrigued by the different factions that are emerging.Brawley continues to be an engaging and enjoyable protagonist, and we learn the rules of this world with him. I also love the fact that each of the girls abilities are reflected in their personalities, especially Sage as the socially awkward Seeker who wou!d be perfectly happy spending all day researching because that's what Seekers are driven to do.The history that we get a glimpse of and the future that is hinted at are also very intriguing, and I personally can't wait to see where the story goes from here. Eagerly awaiting the next book!

Well, I read the first book, which I enjoyed; through Unlimited and while normally I use it for these types of books, I decided to take risk and pre-ordered this one.It was a good investment.It was an awesome second book. Though I will admit that it felt shorter then the first one, but then again I read it faster the first book, so maybe it felt shorter for that reason.Of the new girl in the group, Remi, I really enjoyed her character.Though the cat girl, I hope in the next book hope she gets more viewing since her character felt bland.Still, in the end, it was a great novel and I am officially convinced. Will pre-order the next book when it's available.

A great follow-up to the first book with Brawley getting a better handle on his powers with a bit of work on getting a handle on splicing. Getting to know more about Carnals and how their powers work we are then treated to the next strand our cowboy will be opening next. We also discover the real reason behind the Culling and introduced to obviously the big bad of the series. I'm also quite curious as to what becomes of Remi's situation in the coming books and also if we will finally get a sneak peek of the infamous Chop Shop as well.

Better than the first book,and that was very good.This new hero is going places(Texas) with three kick ass wives and one super kick ass Teen. Well done and thank you Mr Jinx.

Really good book would recommend this adult urban fantasy story, is fast paced and full of action, I will definitely be reading the next book.

If you like this genre,I highly recommend this series, but start with book one Power Mage, for the best enjoyment.
