Ehh
I like the story. At first it was a little repetitive of the other stories but it got better and ended in fun times.

The great train robbery
A lovely intricate and intriguing story of a gold theft from a moving train leaving no damage and few clues. Jamie and Henri have work really hard to solve this one. The journey is worth it.

Charming
Honor Raconteur is a first rate story teller. Her mysteries are charming, and hilarious with the best characters and best of all with no language or hint of sexual innuendo. One of my favorite authors.

Well done
This is my 4th book in this series and this is my first review. I have been so pleased with this series. They have all been interesting and well thought out. Very good character development and good consistency from one book to the next. The proofreading has been excellent. Proofreading errors can be so distracting and confusing that it inhibits the flow of the read.

Intriguing!
I absolutely love Jamie and her friends. The mystery was not only a whodunnit but a "how"dunnit! I love it when they figure everything out and the case comes together. And a book thief subplot! Girl's night out at Jamie's is definitely gaining traction - I wish I could join the party! And of course, Cliff is amazing. I am looking forward to a future felix kitten. Enjoy this book you will!

Another hit with this reader. Its the 4th book and the best of the series so far. Can't wait to see if Clint gets a little brother or sister.

Breaking and Entering 101
This is a fun entertaining book. Jamie and Henri are so much fun. RM is too. Loved the way Jamie explains modern vocabulary words and other things we have on earth. It really makes you think of all the technology and ways to make our lives easier. Love the book.

A fabulous read
This has fast become an auto buy series for me with the author going high up my favourites list. Henri, Jamie and Sheldon, along with he wonderful cast of characters in this world are what make this series wonderful. For me, characters are everything and these are very real, leaping of the page with their warmth and vitality. This book had a slightly slower, more relaxed pace than the last, which felt more dangerous. However that is not to detract from how wonderful it is and how brilliant a team Jamie and Henri are together. The word building continues to delight and Clint grows into a more entertaining side kick with every chapter. This book would appeal to those who read so many genres, fantasy, historical, paranormal, crime, and just those who like a character driven story. Set on a different world from ours, with a likeness to the industrial revolution, it is nonetheless different and is somewhere that Jamie, once an FBI agent on our world, finds herself very at home. A great story and I can't wait for more.

Getting The Future and The Past Together Works.
I had avoided reading this series mad only picked it up out of boredom. I'm glad I did. Having someone from this millennium living in a world based in the past somehow works.I like the fact that the stories are. interesting and clean. I do like my raunchy sexy books but clean fún stories like these are good for cleansing my literature palette.

Great addition to the series
More Clint, girl's night and some great new characters all make this another brilliant story on the Case Files series. I love getting to explore more of Jamie's new world, the good and the bad! Colette is a fun new character with Henri's skills and Jamie's humour, she's going to be a good addition to the team going forward and I enjoyed seeing a trainee Kingsman's point of view with Foster. We definitely need more girl's night shenanigans and I feel Edie could easily get up to more mischief! Please read this book, it'll make your brain befuddled and you laugh out loud. Not to be missed.

Losing steam
This series started well, but the author needs to work on character development more. All the characters have not really grown in any sense. It reminds me of the middle period of Terry Pratchett's work - interesting characters in interesting situations, but with no change in the way that the people interact. (Carrot in guards, guards). As for the cases, the "intruder" was silly and the ending contrived. The train robbery was better, but pedestrian.

Urban Magic
OK it's kind of Victorian era Urban Magic, on a different planet with a human lead character. A very nicely written series that keeps those pages turning all the way to the end. With never a dull moment this is a must read for fans of the genre - even if you're not ready it anyway!
