this fits my sliding door :)
i was having a horrible time finding a latch that would replace my Jeld Wen sliding glass door (with the blinds in between) this is my SECOND time replacing the latch btw. the first time i had to replace the entire handle set to the tune of 60.00. i took a chance on this 10.00 latch and simply used the pin bar of the old latch( because the lever pin on this replacement does not fit mine) and to my happiness it worked great !! it is close enough to an exact match for me and i will buy again when this needs replaced. so far so good going on 6 months

Great replacement handle
Great replacement handle. It wasn’t exactly the same as my existing latch but only exterior and still looks like it’s a stock part. Functions perfectly.

Works with my Jeld Wen slider
I had this installed in 10 minutes. But I put it off for 6 yrs thinking that I had to buy the whole handle set at $60. It works for my Jeld Wen brand sliding door.All you have to do is take the handle apart and see how it was done and then replace the lever and re-use the shaft. Maybe adjust the lock plate on the door frame also. That was the reason mine broke.

Compatible with JW sliding door handle
I looked all over for a new locking switch/lever for a JW handle, but could not find one, and a replacement handle set costs on average $160.00. This item does not state that it is compatible with the JW handle, but it fits and works perfectly. So I basically saved $150.00 by buying this item.

Good replacement
The thumb latch on my sliding door broke after 5 years of use. This is the weakest part of the lock/handle. By replacing just the thumb latch, you can save a lot of money and time vs. buying an entire new lock/handle kit. The video was helpful to get all the pieces in proper place.

Sliding door lock latch.
These were just fine for me. Installed easy. Someone said they seemed cheaply made but they seem fine to me. I purchased two just in case. Still cheaper then replacing the handle.

This was great. Worked excellently. VERY IMPORTANTLY, be sure to take note that other reviews mention reusing the pin of your original latch instead of the one provided here (which is too long).
