Topeak Cargo Net for Baskets

Good little cargo net for the basket on bicycle rear rack. Well worth the cost

I’ve used it a few times and really love this thing! It’s helped me bike things home with my rack-and-crate set up that otherwise make ZERO sense. The little caps at the end of each hook seem to fall off with just a bit of handling and that’s annoying but not a big deal to me. If I could go back, I would still buy this net but I would have just glued the caps on before using it.

The worked brilliantly for a bike tour. I bought this with the intention of holding all my my larger gear on the back of my bicycle while I was touring. It turned out to work better than I had imagined it would. I had my rear rack with panniers, then on top of that I had my tent and sleeping pad on top of that. This tightly held on to both of those items and my open solar charger. The net is able to stretch to hold a lot of mass and can stretch a little more if you need to sneak anything out of it. It held up for over 600 miles and is still going strong.

I needed a cargo net to complete my cargo carrying needs with the Avenir Cling-On Seatpost Racks (Black, QR Cling-On with Sides) . I picked the Topeak because its a name brand and only a dollar or so more than the other nets. All the nets might be from the same manufacturer but who knows. I was worried it was going to be too big because in the picture its seen holding down a large plastic cargo box. But when I pulled it out of the box and tried it securing my backpack to the rack it worked perfectly. In fact it works great with the pannier guards on the Aviner rack because the guards provide extra distance to pull the net taught. One star removed because the little rubber guards on the hooks come off with ease. A good buy.

I bought this net to go with the Topeak Trolley Tote Folding Basket . This net can however be used with any basket and is lightweight and durable, my review however focuses on usage with the TOPEAK basket. Overall this is a great cargo net, it attaches to special attachment points on the basket and holds your cargo in place going down the road/trail. The only thing I don't understand is why the basket has attachment points on the sides, but not on the rear of the basket, but I just attach it to the rack on the back and it holds it in place nicely. PROs Lightweight and durable Attaches flawlessly with the TOPEAK folding basket This is a great net, and a decent price. Highly recommended.

This was a necessity for securing my stuff in a wire basket while bike commuting. I started out using just bungee cords but it took forever to get them on in a way that would keep my stuff from bouncing out of the basket. It is very large, almost too large for my basket, but I just clip in on way under the basket to get a tight fit. The size also allowed for more items in my basket if needed, since it was big enough for me to really pile them up if needed. I had no issues with quality, it is still going strong about three years later, but I don't use it on a daily basis anymore since I no longer commute on bike.
