Well worth spending a bit more.
Ordered this to use with an iPad mount for a music performance outdoors. Unfortunately it didn't arrive in time and I had to borrow a friend's stand for the gig, but his was a different brand and didn't have the standard mic stand threaded top. Now that I have it, the comparison between this product and the one I borrowed is pretty stark. This one is much better, a little bit heavier and much sturdier, but also extends higher and accepts my iPad mount with the standard mic stand thread. I also like that the tri-pod legs can be extended giving greater stability. It costs more than the one my friend loaned me by about half, but it really is a superior product and I look forward to using it in the future, (already took it on a gig with me and it was great).

FOLDS DOWN TO THE SIZE OF A QUARTER!
...well...almost that small. I bought this mic stand for my husband. He's a full time musician. He mistakenly left his car unlocked after a gig one night and his last mic stand was stolen...he's been using an old one that's huge and floppy for a little while (to learn the lesson about locking his car doors) and I finally gave in and bought him this one. He loves it. The best part is that it reduces down small enough to fit inside one of his cases so that it isn't always laying out in the car trunk. It's very sturdy as well! I actually spent far less on this one than on the one that was stolen...

It is not a heavy-duty mic stand, but the size and weight make schlepping it to the gig a breeze.
I have been using a heavy-duty tripod with a boom for several years. When I saw this collapsible one, I HAD to try it. I have only used it for one gig and it is not as stable as my heavy one, but the tradeoff seems well worth it's lesser stability. I also bought a Quick Loc boom which is just right to use with the tripod. Both are very light. It can easily fit in a back pack or variety of gig bags, and it weighs nearly nothing. One pointer I can give is to make sure one of the legs faces you to support the weight of the mic on its boom and keep it from tipping over, if you are using it as such. It is fairly stable if you do this. I might add a weight to the bottom to see if it helps with the stand's lack of weight. I'll get used to it, I'm sure. I really like it and may update my review at a later date.

Very Versatile and Compact
I’ve been looking for a multi-purpose stand that can be folded up into a compact package. This is it! I think this is exactly what I needed. It folds into a very compact unit, yet it expands and raised to do almost any job. Highly recommended.

Problem solved!!!
This is an update to my previous review which stated that the Air Turn Go Stand had a defective thread adapter. The defect was caused by the adapter being held in place by a single crimp in the shaft of the stand. The good people at Air Turn reached out to me and confirmed that they had found several other stands with the same problem and they assured me that they would take this up with the factory. So, here we are, a few months later and... wow, what a difference! The single crimp has been replaced with a triple crimp and the threaded end is now held quite firmly. The Go Stand has just become one of my favorite microphone stands. I highly recommend the Go Stand because both the product quality and the customer service are excellent. If you're looking for a well made and very portable mic stand then the Go Stand is a winner.

Worth the investment if you're a traveling musician who plays from tablet!
I bought the goSTAND to use with the AirTurn Manos while I'm touring. (I was happy that the Manos works with a mic stand, but can't always trust venues to have a functioning mic stand, and I didn't want to tour with the heavy, stable stands I use in my studio).Pros: extremely light-weight and compact!!! Adequately high for tall users (I'm over 6' tall). Sturdy enough to check in a suitcase without worry, small enough to pack in a backpack if you're not checking luggage. Really stable and adjustable to accommodate un-level floors. I wasn't worried to mount an iPad Pro on it- there are heavier, less-stable stands out there on the market.Cons: As some have noted, this isn't going to be as stable as your 10lb+ studio stand, and this isn't heavy-grade metal. That said, for something that's under 3lbs and can fit in your suitcase, this is hard to beat. If you are overly worried about stability, you could always sand-bag the feet, but honestly, I don't think that's necessary.
