Not for heavy doors
Bought this for a French door to the patio. While the product is sturdy enough for this, the door hinges are not.

Wish they had more angles to adjust
They have fewer possible angles than it appears. I'm having issues getting the door in a good spot to stop. It either stops completely blocking the walkway, or it stops too late and still hits the wall, etc. Feels like a 20-30 degree angle adjustment minimum. They're not as sturdy as I had hoped. The one I put on the outside door is already bent out of shape, but it is still working so far.

Best hinge-pin door stop, but no hinge-pin door stop has the stopping power to guarantee it will protect my dry wall.
I installed these and was a little disappointed. These will restrict the opening of your door once it reaches a certain opening point, but it doesn't stop the door well enough to guarantee that the door knob won't hit the dry wall if too much force is used.My real goal: To replace my normal doorstops with something that was a little more kid friendly while still protecting my drywall. (The normal doorstops can be unscrewed too easily and have parts that can be pulled off). Sadly, these aren't strong enough to be my final solution for a kid safe door stop solution. I'll be installing a kid safe baseboard door stop to use in conjunction with these.Pro: Silent door openings: Even though I still have to put in some real 'baseboard door stops', I kept these installed because they do a good job of making sure the door doesn't slam against the door stop when I open it too fast. Now when I'm sneaking around the house as the baby sleeps, I'm FAR less likely to have the door smack hard into the doorstop waking the baby.Con: Door can still damage wall: These don't make the door 'hard stop' when they reach the open point. The door still has a lot of give and can still be swung beyond it's full extension point to damage the drywall. This is something that my 2 year old daughter has proven multiple times as she pushes the door with her butt and giggles. I'll be purchasing some solid / kid safe door stops to attach to my baseboards.Pro: Easy install: You just replace one of your door hinge pins with this new hinge pin. Then you put the little cap piece on like the instructions say. You can adjust the angle of the stopping point a little bit. The accuracy on this is average. I needed the door to open a little farther, so I adjusted the top piece 'one notch' wider, and then the door opened so wide that it hit the wall. ;\Pro: Kid Proof: This is no more dangerous than a normal door hinge pin.TO BE FAIR: All hinge pin door stops would only get three stars from me: They all have this 'no hard stop' problem. There are other hinge-pin door stops that I've tried, and they make the door stop a little harder/better than this one, but they can still damage my drywall too. AND those other hinge-pin door stops usually touch the wooden part of the door itself and cause damage to the door if you push too hard! At least this one doesn't damage my door, since it only applies pressure to the metal hinge. Why three stars: At the end of the day, this product is not useless, but a hinge pin door stop just isn't going to do the job I want it to do... protect my dry wall.

Pretty nice ... only if your hinge is suitable!
Love how invisible it is, and love that it allows the door to open wider than the stops-at-90-degree hinge stopper I had before. I don't love that it doesn't stop the door on a dime-it's a little squishy at its max point (door flexes open a bit wide before coming back to its resting point), so I had to set it a click narrower than I ideally wanted so the door didn't hit a wall lamp. Even with that, it allows a wider opening than the old hinge stopper, so it's a win.PLEASE NOTE that with this design, it's CRITICAL that your hinge plates are a little wide-your hinge plates MUST be wide enough that the actual hinge sticks out and is away from the door/moulding a little bit- a moulding/hinge gap and door/hinge gap of a quarter of an inch or a bit more is needed. IF your hinge has that space, the two little arms of this hinge will sit in that gap on the hinge plate between the hinge and your door and your door/molding respectively-that way, this hinge stopper will touch only hinge plate metal, and you'll have no damage, and it'll have the hard hinge plate to brace against on both sides. On the other hand, if your hinge is is right up against your door/moulding, this stopper is going to press into your door and moulding and DAMAGE both, it's going to work really poorly, and you're going to be unhappy. If that's your hinge, either plan to replace your hinge with a wider-plated hinge or DO NOT buy this.

Fit great and work well
I used these to replace the "bumper" style door stops. The fit very well and adjust easily. They are a bit more expensive than the others but keep the door hinge pin tightly in place and don't stick out like the others did. Very simple to install and look like they will last the life of the door.

used to stop a door from hitting the wall
without two of these, the door still had a lot of play one will not work by itself
