Affirm Relaxer Kit 4 Applications

This product works well for me, (because I have thin hair) I only use a small portion of the cream each time for a retouch.

This kit works really good, better than expected. This kit definitely relaxed my hair, to almost completely straight which is almost what I wanted. I still need to figure out a way to get my hair completely straight. I’m trying different tips, tricks, and also different relaxing kits. Sometimes my hair cooperates, sometimes it doesn’t. I was hoping this kit would provide some consistency with my hair but, I get different results each time, just like all the other kits. My personal problem, not a product problem. This kit was so easy to apply, instructions are simple and straightforward. It does have multiple kits in one big kit. I should be able to relax my hair four times with one kit. My biggest complaint other than the price, is that this kit is sold as incomplete. You have to make three separate purchases just to have a complete set. (Step-1 PROTECTO) is a separate purchase from the kit, and (step-3 5-N-1 RECONSTUCTOR) and (Step-4 NORMALIZING SHAMPOO) are also sold as a separate purchase but, sold in a pair. This kit is considered Step-2 (2A SCALP CREAM RELAXER) and (2B LIQUID ACTIVATOR) and yes you need all the pieces to this relaxing puzzle. The price and the kit being sold in separate pieces is the reason I say this kit must be for commercial use. Plus it says “Professional Instructions” on the instructions. This kit does have four kits in one but, that still does not justify the price, unless you’re using it on multiple people in a shop setting. In a professional setting, relaxing your hair is usually about $75-$140 depending on the shop and the skill level or popularity of the stylist. As a DIY at home relaxing kit, this is WAY overpriced and not worth the money. This kit is great but, there are plenty other kits that are sold as one complete kit, work just as good or better, and all of them are under $10. This kit is for making money as a stylist in a shop or at your home. The good news if you are a professional not working in a shop, you can buy this kit. If you’re like me and just looking for the perfect kit so you can finally stop searching, you can also buy this kit. Anyone can buy this professional kit. Most professional kits require proof of license to purchase this level of kit. That is wonderful news for all of us. I’ve been relaxing and perming my own hair on and off since childhood. I can do it blindfolded but, I’m no professional. It’s always recommended for “in between care” to use products of the same brand, to extend the time in between relaxing. So I also purchased the AFFIRM shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in-detangler. All three products work really well. All three are priced kinda high, like you’d expect if Sally’s sold them but, I wish the bottles were bigger at this price, again structured for making money in a professional setting. Overall I am happy with this kit and purchase. I love these products, they work really well for me. I now know that this particular relaxing kit and supporting products from AFFIRM is not priced for me in my bathroom at home. Lesson learned. BUT If I can figure a trick to get my hair to completely straightened out with this kit, I will buy this kit forever and stop searching. I’m really happy results. Again I can relax my hair 4 times with this one kit, pretty cool. I have three more tries before I make a final decision, to settle here or keep searching for my perfect relaxing kit. I have no yes or no answer for this kit, no definitive answer. No pass or no pass answer. This is a “you just gotta try it and see if you like it for yourself”. I’ve read most of the reviews and no matter what, remember we all have different hair types. All of our hair is gonna react different than each other’s. No promises with any kit. I gotta say though, including the price, THIS KIT IS WORTH THE TRY.

Are you kidding me?!! Product leaked everywhere!

The package was a little different from what I'm use to which had me a lil concerned. This was my first time using the sensitive scalp I usually get the dry and itchy version from another source which has more Affirm branding all over. That aside this item relaxed by hair really well, almost too well. The results were closer to bone straight than with a lil texture when I use dry and itchy (just my preference). All in all i would recommend this product.

A mild relaxer that visibly improved the texture of my hair .I however believe that using its accompanying pre relaxer protector, shampoo and conditioner produced the best results.

Soft on the hair, didn't have any damage. Great product.
