BEST transition from Travel Crib to Travel Bed
Since we travel often with our 20 month old it is imperative that we have a travel bed to take with us when one isn't available at hotels or friends/family's homes. We had been using the Baby Bjorn Travel Light 2 crib and love it. But when my son was 18 months he learned to climb out of it (as well as his crib) and thus it was time for a toddler bed. I searched high and low for travel toddler beds that would be comfortable and easy to travel with both on planes and car trips. I found many that were blow up mattresses and although they might be easy to pack it seemed like a very uncomfortable solution. The Leachco BumpZZZ was literally the only other option to the blow up beds. I was a bit hesitant because of the price but seeing as I couldn't find anything even comparable I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did! When I took it out of the carrying bag my son immediately sprawled out in it. The print is very cute without being cutesy as well as gender neutral. The padding on the bottom is not super thick but we've used it on the bathroom floor of a hotel and my son was very comfortable. It's definitely enough padding to protect from a hard floor and works even better on carpet. The bumper sides are the perfect height for keeping him from rolling off the bed and very plush. We haven't had to wash it yet so I can't speak for how easy it is to take apart but we lay a blanket on the bed to protect it from getting dirty. We've even taken it on an airplane, checking it in the carrying bag alone and had no problems. We did ask the airline to label it fragile so that might have helped. I've since purchased a duffel bag to use during future airline travel to insure that the bed is protected. The REI classic XX-Large duffel fits well with room to spare for extra blankets, pillow, etc. Getting the bed in and out of the provided carrying case was difficult at first until I figured out you have to fold the bed in thirds to make it fit. Now I have no problems. It has two velcrow tabs on either end of the bed which I haven't quite figured out what they're for but they don't get in the way or take away from the bed at all.Honestly this is the bed possible solution for transitioning your little one from a travel crib and now I understand why it's priced as it is. It's worth every penny.

My 23 month old daughter loves this bed!
We purchased this travel bed because our 23 month old daughter, who sleeps in a crib at home, is getting too big for the Pack 'N Play and we didn't want to have to lug it to the airport.Pros: My daughter absolutely loves this bed. From the moment we opened the package she wanted to lay down in it. The bumpers on all 4 sides are nice and soft and large enough to prevent wiggly little ones from rolling out while they sleep. The padding at the bottom is of sufficient thickness to make this a soft resting place, and she had plenty of room to stretch out. The other great thing is that there is absolutely no setup, just unfold it and you have a bed.Cons: Upon receiving the bed, I was surprised by how large it is. While it is much lighter than the Pack 'N Play, it still takes up just as much space. Based on the pictures, I had originally hoped it would fold flat enough to fit in the bottom of our suitcase, but we ended up stuffing it inside a large duffle bag and checking it at the airport. Despite this, I would not sacrifice the thick padding and bumpers to have a smaller bed. It does come with a carrying case, but I wasn't comfortable checking it in the case alone as it would likely get wet or torn by rough baggage handling. The only other negative is the fact that there are no zipper pulls on the case or the bed. When we first received the bed, we couldn't figure out how to unzip the case, but finally got a paper clip and got it unzipped. When I contacted Leachco, they told me that new federal regulations state that zipper pulls cannot be included on any products for children 3 and under because the pulls can break off and become a choking hazard. Their recommendation is to use a paper clip to open/close the zipper and then remove the paper clip. I think this is an absolutely ridiculous solution. Hopefully, they can come up with a better alternative!Despite the cons, I have no regrets about this purchase. Thanks to this bed, my daughter took her naps and slept at night while we traveled just as well as she sleeps at home. I would definitely recommend it.

Kids love them!
We had been using a Shrunks air mattress for several years that held up very well. I was amazed at how well. But after having kid number two and the air mattress finally getting a hole in it that I couldn't repair, I bought two of these for my 7 and 3 YO for travel. While it is a bit bulkier than I had hoped (and than the air mattress), it is waaaaaay better than worrying when it's going to get a hole. It may or may not have been a fluke that the air mattress lasted so long, but they are expensive and didn't want to take the chance, especially once I discovered these. It would be a bit tricky to clean if someone had an accident, but I line it with waterproof underpads under blankets just in case. The kids love them and are very comfortable in them. I have even piled the two of them together and slept in them myself comfortably. We use them for sleepovers and when they have a friend over, in our camper... have even used them in our family room for movie night. They are really pricey, but I am happy with the purchase.

Not Worth it.
Product works alright as a toddler bed, but is ridiculously difficult to clean and more importantly roll up for travel. Unless you have to have one that doesn't blow up... I'd recommend something else. Also by itself it doesn't have much cushioning. I'd recommend buying a memory foam cushion to put under it.
