Q: I am thinking of using this as a prep table for my BBQ grilling area outdoors. Has anyone used this table successfully outside?

That is what I use it for. I have the bottom shelf set to accommodate a small stainless steel bar refrigerator and BBQ supplies. At this time my patio cover is not weather proof so I do cover it when I know it is going to rain. During an unexpected summer rain storm it got very wet with no ill effects. I just wiped it dry. I clean it occasionally with stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth.

Q: is the table 38.5" deep or only 24" deep? i know its 48" long. and what is the heighth with & without the wheels

The top is 48 X 24 inches. These heights are close but not exact. With wheels the heights in 39 inches. Without the wheels the height is 34 inches.

Q: Can additional shelves be added to this?

The additional shelves are listed there, as well as a bar with 3 hooks (which we purchased).

The maximum total weight capacity of the TRINITY 48" Stainless Steel Table on Casters is 300 lb, evenly distributed (including whatever is on the shelf, which has a maximum weight capacity of 100 lb).
