Style Lever Corkscrew Wine Bottle Opener with Foil Cutter and Extra Spiral Gift Set

(Oct, 2016) If you're thinking about buying any other bottle opener than this one, don't do it! I've owned 4 different ones and this is the best. But truth be told, I did have a problem with it after 6 months of continuous use (we drink wine every night in our household). So I sent Gabe of GSCW an email. Here's his response:"Here at GSCW, we stand behind our products 100% and customer satisfaction is of utmost priority to us. A complimentary new replacement has just been processed and should arrive on or before xx/yy/2016. You can discard the broken one. Should you ever experience anything less than 5 stars, please let me know. Every email comes straight to my inbox and is read personally by me."Part of me was blown away by such an awesome customer experience, but another part of me wasn't surprised because Gabe's follow-up after my initial purchase was exemplary. To anyone reading this...not much in life is perfect. Stuff happens.Things break. But it's how a provider handles the situation that differentiates. Yes, product quality can differentiate (and this is still a superior product), but service quality is a true differentiator. And no one does it better than Gabe and his team at GSCW!(Apr, 2016) This product is much better quality and heavier duty than the Rabbit I bought from Crate & Barrel. That one broke, so I returned it for another. That one broke as well! Cheap...you could feel how light it was. But this one from GSCW is much better quality. As soon as I picked it up, I could tell it was going to be good because it was much heavier and better quality. So far, it's been flawless. And the team at GSCW has followed up with me multiple times to ensure I'm satisfied. I actually received a written note from them thanking me for my purchase. Awesome.

We had a French foreign exchange student stay with us this summer and he bestowed soooooo many gifts upon us from his parents that we really wanted to send some things back to them. But what? We are from Wisconsin but we couldn't send French people our cheese and sausages---they would poo-poo it for sure! So one day when I was using my rabbit corkscrew he kept staring at it in amazement and said, "wow, Kelly. My mom would love this!" So I ordered it for her. It's such a beautiful little gift, and it's sooooooo useful!Positives:--It comes packaged nicely in a beautiful box if you need it for a gift or you just like to store your things in a neat way, unlike me--It is the most user friendly corkscrew on the market.--the finish on it is very elegant--so quick and simple and easy--I wouldn't want to use another corkscrew every againNegative:--I have never liked that they call it the Rabbit. Just don't like it. Reminds me of something naughty. :)

Box was smashed, maybe that's reason for price. Does not come w/ instructions, figured it out after a while. Once you get it, it's second nature. At first I thought it was broken, came to learn that it can take a few times, depending on if the cork is rubber or hard. Now I am very happy with it. Update, broke after 1.5 years.

I got this as a christmas gift for my girlfriend so I have not had a chance to use it yet but I did open it up and take a look at it. It is surprisingly heavy and feels like it has excellent build quality. The finish looks nice and is more of a black and copper color. The handle of the one I received does have some flaws in the finish and shows areas where it is bubbled up.Update:The seller did contact me about the bubbles on the finish and remedied the issue. The opener works much better than expected and is a great buy. It works a lot better that the electric openers in that is does not struggle with hard corks.

The last one of these I owned had plastic handles (it was a gift). The handle broke in half after a few uses- no surprise there. This one has metal handles to grip the bottle. It worked well and I think it will be more durable because of the metal construction. It came with a foil cutter and an extra needle. It is presented in a nice looking box which I am using to store it so nothing gets lost. I’m very happy with this purchase- 5 stars.

Got this for my husband as a Christmas present. We've had a Rabbit for YEARS and the rubber handles were starting to disintegrate and get sticky. The mechanics were starting to wear as well and I found it increasingly hard to get the corks off the Rabbit after the bottle had been opened. The GSCW came and it's beautiful! The design is sleek and there are no rubber parts. It works smoothly and it's easy to use. It also comes in an easy to store storage box. I would highly recommend it!

Opener broke after a couple of uses, which was very disappointing after reading so many reviews praising its quality. Don't know if we simply got a lemon or if it's a design flaw.Edited to add: The seller contacted us and sent a new corkscrew at no cost. So far it seems to be working fine, so we're changing our one-star review to a four.

Like it a lot. It’s fairly sturdy as such it requires some grip strength. Not as ideal as I would have liked for my senior mother with hand arthritis. But it’s massively better than traditional tools.
