Germany released, PAL/Region 0 DVD: LANGUAGES: Spanish ( Dolby Digital 2.0 ), English ( Subtitles ), German ( Subtitles ), ANAMORPHIC WIDESCREEN (2.35:1), SPECIAL FEATURES: Commentary, Interactive Menu, Scene Access, Trailer(s), SYNOPSIS: In a future medieval world, after the collapse of our civilization, man has repeated all the same mistakes again, and installed a new system of law based on false science and superstitious beliefs. Worst of all their deviances now, is anyone who dares to consume or even touch the sweet-tasting 'Chisa' flower. Once caught, they are permanently banished from the village, and made to live a life of solitude and poverty. Most prone to this deviance are children - known by elders as 'vessels for evil' - since their natural curiosity makes them prey to temptation. Yet these rejected children, left to their own devices, free and as wild as the wind, are discovering the true power of this plant and its teachings. Its sap contain what most adult fear: a vision of the truth. They have learned so much that some villagers even accuse these children of witchcraft. ...Rejected ( Rechazados ) Review: Brilliant! Sensuous! - A visual feast in film exposing the effects of fear, ignorance, and scapegoating on vulnerable peoples. And easily led by charismatic populous leaders! (Of course the children often ultimately pay the heaviest price). Though in this film, in the end, justice is summarily exacted and there is a real chance for beginning again.. Review: Not for the surface level minded folks. - Although desertcart does show that I received this movie yet, it was received in a timely manner. Apparently there’s a miscommunication between the vendor and desertcart or Royal Mail and desertcart. About the movie, Someone told me about this movie and equated it to how the older generations view cannabis today. A bit of a stretch, for sure. But the movie does reflect how older generations Sometimes misinterpret religion to mean something that it doesn’t and the toll that it takes on their kids is often tragic. It’s a very strange movie. Not for kids under 15 years old.

Another amazing film by the Master Director who is Ivan Noel A group of villagers who live by deeply religious laws and anyone breaking those laws is sent packing to the mountains A Law that seems to effect children more the main problem is a wild red flower seen as symbol of the Devil and spells trouble for anyone who possesses it When one child is sent packing for having just that he finds himself among other children who were also punished But when the order is sent to bring 2 children back 1 boy 1 girl as a sacrifice this causes the twist For when the body of a beaten to death captured boy is brought back The village priest sees it's his own son and realizes things have gone to far much to the anger of the villagers who turn on him when they blame him for the water drying up as he went to beg forgiveness from the children Soon the villagers head to the mountains to confront the children planning to kill them and get the water running down to the village again But in a clever twist the children are ready
