I never ever believed the hype about buying more expensive curling irons or wands until I purchased this BaByliss pro ! With temperature settings from 230° to 430°F it works for all hair types. I have baby fine hair and most of the ones I had in the past had the lowest heat setting of 350° amazingly, the lower heat setting gives me a much better curl. The barrel also somehow stays clean and does not get gunked up from using heat, protectant or texture spray prior to curling. It has an extra long cord that swivels, which is awesome easy to use the release clamp sets up higher, which seems to help me not burn myself as much ha ha ha

Reading the reviews I wasnt sure if this curling iron would be as good as everyones been saying. I have semi thick hair, thats almost down to my waist. When it was shorter,I had no problems with the curls holding, but now that its this long its super hard for me to get curls to stay. Before this one i had the gold 'Pro' curling iron from target. Its wasnt ceramic and thats why i think my hair only stayed for about an hour, including all the crap i put in tomake it hold before and after curling. With this one, i use a light mist of heat protectant, curl, and then some hairspray when im done. Doing it THIS way instead of the old, i get soft shiney curls instead of fried clumps of curled hair.Basically this is the BEST curling iron ive came across so far. It holds my hair without tons of hairspray, its gets hot really fast, and the heat temp. knob works well b/c it cant slip with the touch a your hand (you actually have to crank it).One slight negitive is it does have a funny smell that kind of smells like burning plastic =X, but luckily wears off after a few uses (& thankfully the smell DOES NOT transfer to your hair!! or atleast to mine)Overall i'd def recommend this product to someone else, it leaves soft silky curls that LAST FOR HOURS without frying & adding loads of product to your hair.GOOD JOB BaByliss! I absolutely love this curling iron! It's lightweight, heats up quickly, and effortlessly creates beautiful curls that last all day. Best iron I’ve owned. Slides over hair easily. Only complaint is that the part/tip that you hold onto could be bigger.

First thing I noticed was the "tip" when I burned my left hand fingers!!! The tip needs to be twice as long........it's way too short to hold on to while curling. I also noticed it doesn't shut off automatically after one hour! This is a must for any of my curling irons. A man must have designed this iron or they didn't try using it after the design. It's going to have to go back. Wish it didn't because it curls nicely.

My favorite iron. I decided to try out the BioIonic and was not impressed. Not sure why I didn’t just stick with this one! Returned and went back to this!

I have had this same iron in a smaller size for about 4 years now, ever since my stylist recommended splurging on a babyliss. I recently purchased it in a larger size. These irons work. I used to never use a curling iron because the curl would fall out with an an hour or two. Not with these, these curls last all day- and I live in Florida, where the humidity is guaranteed to attack any effort you try to make to look good! I definitely recommend putting a heat protecting oil in your hair hair before using this, so you don't fry your hair, as it gets extremely hot (within seconds). The one I use is from Sally's called Proclaim Glossing Polish, but I'm sure there are plenty of others. I get compliments every time I curl my hair, which Is almost daily, and I know that the secret is the curling iron. Babyliss is the chi of curling irons. I would never bother with another brand. This price is fantastic as well, as I've seen these in salons for $150.00.
