WERNER CO PD6206 Type IA Aluminum Podium Ladder - 6'

Ordered this podium ladder after struggling, PRECARIOUSLY OVEREXTENDED, on regular ladder, juggling too many tools in my hands and mouth, dedicating one hand for balance (or not and wishing I had).Nobody carries these podium ladders locally, and even their shipping was 6-8 weeks lead time. Amazon arrived timely, and shipping was reasonable.This ladder arrived, I loaded up the Werner accessory job tote and tools, walked right up and resumed painting. Whole new ball game. Easy, comfy, everything, handy, no twisting my spine, no standing on balls of feet (no getting numb feet or cramps in my arches), no leaning into top seat for balance (no more tender bruises on shins), and that podium is like an additional work table, no more up&down the ladder to retrieve/refill supplies. No more dropping tools in the dirt. Amen hallelujah.It's a bit heavier than my standard ladder, 35 pounds I think, but still quite manageable to transport while closed, or, relocate while upright while lifting entire A-frame. I may get one of those ladder carrier/dollies with wheels for moving this bad boy around the house, for changing chandelier bulbs, hanging Christmas lights...

The vendor ISS shipped this item very fast (3 days delivery). Ladder is an excellent product and I am very pleased. When using inside I feel as safe as one could be while high upon a ladder reaching my 12 ft high ceiling.This ladder did come with spring loaded wheels at the base of each leg which was not listed in any of the product descriptions which automatically retract when weight is applied and allows you move it around with having to lift it. Very nice surprise.One complaint is the ladder plastic parts were scuffed up at the top and bottom when delivered. It was also quite dirty from sitting in some warehouse without enough shrink wrap or any protectors to keep it new and clean. I spent an hour and a half cleaning this ladder up with 409, a rag, and a Scotch Pad. Lack of adequate packaging to protect the ladder from shipping damage was surprising.UPS did a great job delivering this on their regular package delivery vehicle. The driver complained it was in his way all day. I expected this huge ladder would be delivered via a large parcel carrier like Overnite or TNT.

My balance isn't great. We have 12 ft ceilings with lights and smoke detectors. This ladder is so amazing. I use it and feel so comfortable working on those things. I strongly recommend it for anyone who is older or doesn't have great balance.

This quality ladder was just the thing I needed to get to those, otherwise, hard to reach places. The podium helped me work more confidently and more securely than with a traditional A-frame ladder.

I like that I was able to reach my 12-foot ceilings and the platform is comfortable once you reach it. I don’t like that the steps/rungs are so narrow and feel a little slippery. The ladder that I use to paint 10-foot ceilings has wider steps going up to the platform and feels much more comfortable and safe for this 70-year-old.

These are podium ladders are a delight when you have a long job that requires you to move around at one level. I use mine primarily for cutting a 10' hedge and cleaning gutters. Holds all my tools and me safely and conveniently.

Best ladder I have ever had, by far. Great product when you are trimming trees with a chain saw 10-12' high; you feel safe.
