Incredible when you want to slick hair back!
We LOVE this brush for times that I need/want to pull my daughters curly hair back into a ballet bun or top pony. It’s exclusively what we use it for as I would think it would “wreck” her natural curls the day we used it. She has natural, spirally curly hair as evidenced by the first (and hopefully last) self haircut she gave herself. If you’re looking for a brush to get all hair to lay flat against the scalp, this brush is for you!

Just... okay
Wanted to love this brush. Pros: easy to cleanCon: synthetic boar bristles pull and roughen hair instead of smoothing like natural bristles. The longer nylon bristles are fine, but unremarkable.

Excellent brush - makes perfect ribbons
This is the best brush I have used for styling my hair. It’s extremely easy to get the right tension for my curls to turn ribbon-like, as if I was curling actual ribbon with a scissor blade. I do wish there was a bit more weight in the handle, as it feels a bit flimsy and difficult to control when I do back sections of my hair. Still, I have had the best results styling my hair with this brush over other brushes I have (Denman brush, paddle brush). An essential tool in my opinion. Must use on detangled hair though - the bristles can cause breakage if you’re too rough and try to detangle knots with it.

Not What I Expected, Still Great
Well, it doesn't keep my curls. BUT it also, miraculously, doesn't frizz up my hair. I have loose curls and I was hoping for a brush that would keep those intact and this certainly did not, but my hair is frizz free. It's so frizz free it's like I'm supposed to have straight hair. It's kind of wild. Who needs a hair straightener anyways??

100% Recommend This Product!!
Amazing! I bought this brush for my daughter and it works perfectly with her hair. She has different textures so it's been difficult finding something that works. This takes out the knots but keeps the curls. She doesn't fuss as much getting her hair combed anymore! Love this brush!

Decent brush, not great for wiry coarse hair. Terrible marketing.
3 of 5 stars, and I feel that's because I can't accurately gauge if this works on other types of curly hair. This is an -okay- brush on my long, thick, wiry curly hair. The variation of the bristles is good for not getting completely snagged. It is very light to hold, which is kind of nice when one already has a kilo of hair sitting on top of their head (hello arm workout!)Overall, it's an okay brush. But it's not great for MY curly hair, and my combs are still better.I also see right through this ridiculous marketing.I was cursed with my Irish hair. Coarse, wiry, thick, and always trying to get you. Always knotted. My hair literally spits out bobby pins and cracks clips. I don't need to tie off braids or knots because they just stay that way. May hair absolutely has it's own attitude.People with curly hair already know, brushing dry is the enemy. lol. This brush claims you can brush through the curls without losing their shape when your hair is dry!!I did it to test it.... and no. No I dont think so. I will say that I only had about two-thirds of the poodle poof with this brush versus a "regular" pin brush, but that's still an enormous amount of poof. I still looked like an actual witch about to hop on her broom and terrorize small children with her hag head. So no, careful, slow dry-brushing is not doing it for me with this brush. Also, please, drop the whole "vegan boar bristles" schtick. These are plastic bristles. PLASTIC. It's a decent brush, but it shouldn't make you feel good about your life choices. This is oil industry, non-recycleable, factory-made plastic like everything else on our planet, lol. What kind of marketing is this? Oh, and I have a high quality, real boar's bristle brush for my spoiled rotten godkin cats, and these tines or pins or whatever are significantly harder than a real bristle brush. These can't achieve the same luxurious, glossy smoothness (on straight hair) that the real deal gets.Wooden and bone combs are still the best for my unruly hair, and I can oil them as I work them through my hair, which I cannot do with this bristle brush attached to a rubber pad. Also, this rubber pad style of brush never has lasted long with my hair, as my hair eats the little pins each time, and in a few months the whole pad ends up tearing out. These style of brushes are also harder to wash and can hold water behind the pad, harbouring bacteria, and I need to wash them with -every- use because my hair collects lint and cat hair better than a swiffer.Maybe this type of bristle works better on people with really fine curly hair, but on my big copper mop, nope. My husband likes it on his wavy (and very fine, and thinning, and super short) hair though, so at least one of us will be able to get some use out of it. My cats are too snobby and prefer their expensive german brush. Not a bad brush, but not a good one either, and not a good price at over twenty bucks for a little plastic brush that does not work on my curly hair.
