Honeywell 1900G-HD (High Density) 2D Barcode Scanner with USB Cable

Works amazingly well. This is the first brand name scanner I have bought and it's well worth the extra money. Super fast scanning - almost reads your mind. I bought it to scan drivers licenses and it does it no problem! Only downside was I had to program it to work. Didn't do what I needed out of the box to properly decode drivers license 2D PDF417 barcodes and UPC codes.

Top quality and affordable wired scanner the plugs directly into a computer's USB port. We use it as a remote station for scanning books/comic books while away from our front counter POS location. This increases our efficientcy since the person entering items isn't taking up valuable POS real estate and doesn't have to stop to ring out a customer. They can stay where they are and continue entering books into inventory with no interruption. One word of caution. The scanner WILL NOT be programmed when it gets to you, it will have its default programming installed. If you need it to read specialized bar codes (comic books and prose books have a secondary barcode called a 5 digit addenda on their UPS barcodes) then, unless you are more knowledgeable than I, you will have to call Honeywell customer service. While Honeywell is a large multi-national corporation their customer service team is top notch! They were very helpful and patient and they do an email follow-up a few days after to make sure everything is still working as it should. If you need a barcode scanner, this is the one you want!

I had to hire somebody to set it up. Every time I use it I have to reboot the computer otherwise it goes back to its factory settings. Directions were horrible. Works great now that I’ve got it all done and spent the money on it. But still, have to reboot every time I use it

Quite quick reading from paper prints. Quite lightweight than what I expected to be. Overall a good scanner from a well known brand.

Nice product for the price. Scans well and works with a square hub as well as laptop or tablets.

Works great on 1D and 2D barcodes. I just plugged it into my USB port and when I pulled the trigger it scanned the barcode information into my Windows app. It acts just like a keyboard, so where ever you can type, you can scan a barcode and it will look to the computer like you "typed" the information in.

Accurate and fast. Works with very little or no configuration. I bought it and use it on a shipping and receiving workstation in my clients warehouse. Recommended for warehouse use.

I've used many different bar code scanners and this is the best. It's expensive but works great for very small bar codes. I bought this for 2D bar codes, especially PDF417 format which is used on driver's licenses. To read that, I needed a High Density 2D barcodes. Ordinary 2D scanners can be bought for less than 40 dollars, but their reading angle is too narrow and reading density is too low. I give 5 stars to this scanner, but still two complaints. 1) Didn't come with a stand. It's essential in many applications. I had to order it from 3'rd party on Amazon. 2) Not detailed info about programming. I had to search on the internet and found User's Manual. It has so much capabilities and programmabilities and I didn't know it until I found the User's manual.
