A lonely teen spending his summer at a posh Swiss villa, is going through agony as it seems that everyone has somebody except for him. He finally learns that good things happen to those who wait, as he meets a gorgeous, virginal, nymphet, played by Syllvia Kristal. Lots of T&A, together with plenty of laughs, in this romp in the Swiss hillsides.

old lousy movie
Stupid story line, poor photography and bad acting. Supposed to be erotica but really misses the mark badly. There is not ones redeeming quality to this film.I think I saw it for free but I realized early even for free it was not worth watching.

Dated soft porn
The movie seems to follow the formula typical of many porn or soft-porn movies, which is to say manage to get the actors into as many combinations as possible (he-she, she-he, she-she, old+young, young+old, etc.) If that's all you're looking for, its okay I guess; the plot was pretty thin, and the characters more like caricatures. A few things even seemed kind of gross (the significantly overweight composer running around naked, the scene in which one woman is virtually shoveling whipped cream into & onto the other - definitely the opposite of romantic!) Also seemed pretty dated (1970's era.) But the movie was free with Amazon Prime, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Julia
"Julia" starts off with the typical train ride across Switzerland anddad's young girlfriend, Evan, getting it off in the toilet. When Patrick is having lunch his discusting, piggist and mad auntsand uncles, his uncle Mr Loveday reminded me of a pig, in eating andbehaviour.I must admit it is the first time I've seen someone of his porkishcondition (or any condition for that matter) playing the piano withwith his [...]. It would be an experience to see him play at CarnegieHall. The highlight was seeing his relatives playing a tennis match, althoughvery short, it was one of best parts of the film.A trip to Verona with dad, Evan and Julia was mundane for Patrickuntil dad beat him to Julia, but that evening aunt Evan visited himin his room and poor Patrick had to learn the facts of life from her, although I'm afraid it didn't work out the way she wanted it to.Over breakfast in bed the next morning, a wonderous thing happened,While Evan was trying to find the dropped salt shaker she foundout that it wasn't the salt shaker that was shaking.A rainy tennis match between Patrick and Julia was boring as it wascut up with scenes from uncle Loveday playing the piano in the rainand Patrick's relatives in the house fighting, which is a shame, asthe match ended in a love match of the best kind.I enjoyed "Julia" because I like Sylvia Kristel, but in the samevain I was disappointed as it reminded me of another Swiss movie"Private Passions" with Sybill Danning, which I've had on VHS foryears and now own on dvd as well.Over all this isn't a bad movie, and I give it 2 1/2 stars.

Great Blu-Ray Release, But Included in the Box Set of Four Films
The film restoration on this is quite good, as to picture and sound, as you would expect from Cult Epics. The only reason I'm posting a review is to remind buyers that, at least for now, the boxed set of four films, which is still available under ASIN: B09KQB7S7D here on Amazon, contains this film along with the other three big Cult Epics restorations from 2022. The "Sylvia Kristel 1970s Collection" on Blu-ray features "Playing With Fire", "Pastorale 1943", "Mysteries", and "Julia", each on individual disc. "Playing With Fire" was the most popular, naturally, and was the first to see a stand-alone release, with "Julia" following closely behind. Two of the others have not as of yet been announced for stand-alone release, but they may end up being released as well. Time will tell on that. While I whole-heartedly recommend this release, I do advise purchasing the set if you are a Kristel fan, because it's four solid films and the per-disc cost is lower. That said, if you only want "Julia", then this is the way to go. Good luck to you and I hope you find some great movies.
