Half the price of the Canon version! Works great!
This is a great adapter to use your older lenses with the new RF system from Canon!I switched to the EOS R camera last year and love the new mirrorless cameras from Canon. I have so many EF mount lenses that I have collected over the years and didn't want to sell them and fully switch. This adapter allows me to use my older lenses on the EOS R mount system.I like this adapter for three reasons. It is works perfect with my EF mount lenses. I was worried my EF lenses wouldn't work as smoothly or quickly with the autofocus works amazing. It's like having a native RF mount lens on the camera. An example is, I can use my EF 24-70 MK2 2.8 L on my EOS R and it works perfectly. I tested it vs my Canon adapter and from what I could tell, it worked the same.Price & Availablity! It is half the price of the Canon adapter. There is a shortage of adapters lately. I'd say over the last 3 months it's hard to find the Canon RF to EF adapter, this one was in stock and is a great option.Build Quality. It feels solid and has a rubber gasket for protecting your lens and body from dust. It's slightly lighter and I'm always happy so shave off weight from my camera setup.I picked this up and keep it on my 35mm 1.8 lens. I love having it always adapted. It makes switching lenses so quick and easy. If you need an adapter for your EOS R, R5, Rp, or R6...This is a great option.

Works great with Canon R6
Most of the reviews have this well covered that it is a great adapter and all of my EF lenses work very well with it. AF is quick and build quality is great and eye AF worked perfectly. I was not expecting to be as happy with this adapter as i am!Keep in mind that where you will notice a difference in build quality is when you start getting into heavier glass. With my 70-200mm lens installed, i notice a very slight flex or wiggle movement. The average Joe may not notice this, but as i have used macro extension tubes with my DSLR, i knew what the slight flexing was. I assume that it would be worse with a 100-400mm or even 150-600mm. *This slight flex does not make me think that it will break, but for long term is you are doing a lot of telephoto photography, make sure to get you hands on an actual Canon adapter as it is tighter and just overall a perfect fit.

Works well with Canon EOS RP
I am using this with a new Canon EOS RP. I probably would have bought the Canon adapter, but I really wanted to use my new camera with my old lenses and there was no indication when Canon would be shipping adapters again. I was a little concerned about the reviews that said that it did not hold the lenses snugly. I certainly did not want my lenses falling off in the field. Maybe there is some variation from unit to unit, but the unit I have works well with my two EF lenses (70-200 mm, and 70-300 mm). There is a very small amount of rotational play at both the adapter to camera interface and the adapter to lens interface, but it is slight and I definitely do not feel concerned that my lens will fall out. They click into place firmly and there is no way you are going to get them off without depressing the release lever and rotating them back to the release position. There is no discernable play along the axis of the lens at all. My autofocus works perfectly. I agree it would be nice if there was zero rotational play, but I am still going to give it 5 stars. I am happy I can use my lenses on my new camera.

It works for me.
I've been a long-time Canon EOS user, prone to only buying Canon original products. After checking some reviews and comparing prices, I took a chance with this Meike adapter to use it with several Canon EOS lenses (USM/IS/EFS 70/300, USM/IS/EFS 28/135, and EFS 10-22) and a new EOS R10. USM lenses are heavy for the R10 body. I suggest always keeping a hand on your lens (particularly the telephoto). The adapter is sturdy enough but I want to protect the camera. I did notice that, sometimes, with the telephoto lens (not always) it feels like the autofocus keeps working continuously without pressing the shutter. I just switch focus to manual on the lens. Other than that, so far, so good.

So far it’s perfect
I picked up the Canon R8 and didn’t want to have to invest in RF lenses right away, so I also bought this adapter for my EF and EFs lenses.I just got it and so far it’s perfect. It’s not heavy, but it doesn’t feel cheap. I’m pretty sure this is the 2nd gen of this adapter because I’ve heard complaints about other mount material. But this is metal and it fits snugly into my camera’s RF mount, and my EF 50mm 1.8 lens fit snugly into it with zero wiggle that I could see. Auto focus is as fast as it should be and the image quality is perfect.I was nervous getting a “budget” adapter, but most of the reviews are positive and Meike has a good reputation for inexpensive gear that is decent. I’ll update this review if anything changes, but right now I’m so happy I spent half the money and bought this over the cheapest canon adapter ($129).It’s very clean looking and doesn’t distract with branding. Highly recommend.

Great for the price!
I'm writing about this just over two years after I purchased it... and I'm ready to buy another couple for my other EF lenses. I have ZERO complaints, the focus is razor sharp and lightning fast. My Canon EF lenses focus just as fast if not faster on my R6 with this adapter than they ever did on my rebel t7i... It's just so much cheaper to adapt the EF lenses than to buy the new RF glass. I may eventually buy the RF prime lenses, they look really cool on the camera... but with this adapter available, I'm in no hurry.

R adapter
Unless you want to permanently fix this adapter to your “R” camera I don’t recommend it. It does not lock onto the camera and if you barely manually focus your lens will go crashing to the ground!! Unfortunately I was just now able to try it and am stuck with something I can’t use. Do yourself a favor and pay more for the specific camera brand you own.
