So far has been a great shelter. Got caught in a rain storm today ...
So far has been a great shelter. Got caught in a rain storm today on the ice and kept me dry for the most part. Water will come in the bottoms pf the windows but that was the only place. For those who say it does not have a windbreak position need to use your head or have never had this style shanty. All you need to do is put in the rear or second spreader pole depending on how far you want it to cover you. I does a great job for what its designed for and you really do not need the poles in place if the wind is 15 mph or less. There is enough adjustment in the poles to make up the difference. Seat is comfy sled is a little skinny but does the job well enough. I pulls by hand very well and not to bad to load in the truck by yourself. I will revise if anything changes in time after using more. I have been out in almost every condition and it held up to them all. You will get a little frost on the seems and where the fabric is welded. You will see some white lies appear when you have below zero conditions but still plenty warm with a buddy heater. Lots of usable space. I have noticed this shelter is lower when set up than competitors but lots of room to fish and set the hook. It has lots of space in the width almost to much for a 1 man but it works. Hope this helps make up your mind.

This is a nice and roomy 1 man flip over
This is a nice and roomy 1 man flip over. I'm a decent sized guy (5'11" 210lbs) and there is enough room for my 6 year old son and myself to fish in this hut. What is really nice is the sled is used side ways with the tent so it leaves quite a bit of elbow room. Fairly simple to put together and seems well built enough for my needs. Like another reviewer said the spreader poles are a really tight fit so I just use the back pole and the front pole and only 1 of the middle poles and seems to work well. I'm sure if a person wants to they can grind a little of the lip off the ends of the poles to fit better maybe I'll try it with one of them and see if it helps out and update my review. My first time out I was out in -11 degrees and the wind was howling and I was warm in a hoody with a regular buddy heater. I haven't been out super long in this hut maybe around 5-6 hours and I have no complaints about the seat it was pretty comfortable. I have a few gripes with this flip over and the biggest being the pinholes. I don't know how they manufactured this insulated tent but the pinholes are crazy, it won't get very dark in this hut because the pinholes let a lot of light in and I can only imagine it affects the warmth of the tent. It gives the tent a cheap feel and I would have taken it back due to the pinhole issue but I figured I would see how well it works and for what I paid I figured it was good enough to keep. I also don't like how you can't use this flip over as a wind break but there might be a way to mod it to work I just haven't tried to figure anything out yet. The last thing that bothers me is that you need the front spreader bar in or else the sled will tip over over on the front. It is kind of annoying but not a deal breaker and maybe the seat mod the reviewer before me had might even fix this issue since it would distribute your weight more towards the back end of the sled. Overall this is a decent flip over and I'm not sure I would pay full retail for this thing (due to the pinhole issue) but I would definitely recommend it if you can find it for a good price.

Very comfortable one man.
My fiance is small so we fit two easily. Only used twice before ice out so can't judge the durability of the seat yet. Stayed very warm but weather wasn't that cold. Easy assembly once the weatherstrip was warmed up. Pulled easy on snowless ice. Totally satisfied so far.

The seat did not fit, had to some fileing to get it to fit. E-mailed company and never got a answer back like they did not care.. Other wise it looks nice .Did not get a chance to use it.

Very poor seat frame
If it wasn't for the issues I've had I would love the shelter. My biggest complaint is the seat frame made of plastic and does not fit over front rail on tub. The front support on seat frame broke on first time putting on tub. Called customer service, after being on hold for 20-30 minutes they said they would send one right out. A week later I called again and on hold again for ever he told me it has not shipped out yet. I asked if it was in stock he said yes, but warehouse has been busy. I called again days later and still hadn't shipped. Asked to talk to his supervisor, supervisor after two phone calls to him they next day aired it to me. New one does not fit either. Emailed supervisor pictures and haven't heard back yet. Like other reviews stated the customer service department is pretty much sub standard. I also have a problem with how tight the spreader poles snap on. I will modify myself. Wish they still used the seats with steel frames. Outside of those issues it's a nice shelter. Still haven't been on Ice yet. Hopefully can get resolved before April. Not much Ice than in Minnesota.

Best shanty out there..
The amount of fishing room is absolutely amazing. Like 16 square feet. Love the fact that it is insulated. I hardly use any propain at all anymore. When you run a heater in this thing it will bake you out. Frabill did a great job when they designed this shanty. Its more of a 1 1/2 man tent. So you've got plenty of room. Set up and tear down are quick and easy. Took me about an hr to build. Overall, I love this shanty

Awesome!!!!
Just got it today, assembly was very easy. Boat seat is comfortable but the bracket is terrible, would recommend a folding chair set in the sled. Absolutely love this shelter, light and roomy! Enough room to put 2 chairs in the sled so 2 adults could each fish 1 hole. Highy recommend it. I can't wait to get out on the ice with it this winter. Really have no complaints with it other than the seat bracket.

Bigger than most one person shanty
Extra room great as I am big tall person. Only problem is seat causes shanty to tip. Did not install it & am using large portable camp chair. Next purchase to be portable box for extra seating as lots of room.

Best 1 person shelter
OMG...Just received the shelter and it's the best one I've ever own!!!I'm 6'3" -225lb and must say it's so roomy I'm sure I'll have enough space for 2 holes, heater and flasher no problem and looks like very well buitThe boat chair is comfy and all the fabrics ,zippers and stitching looks solid and well designed. And the price? Less than 400$cdn.... Can't beat that anywhere on line!!!. The only thing is that took me close to 3 hrs to put it together and believe me there's lots of pieces there but follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Now we need the ice and see how it performs.... Very happy with the purchase and really.... A must have!!!And thank you amazon. As always great experience dealing with you:)Will recommend it 100%. AAAAA+++
