Yes, The sleeve stand upright on it's own.

Q: Will the micro speaker stand upright in Sleeve rather than flat? (As designed w/o speaker sleeve, speaker only seats with stability as flat.) Thanks.

Has little silicone legs so it’s raised when flat.

Q: Will the Silicone protective cover installed over Bose speaker still fit into bright orange protective case?

There is plenty of room for the speaker to fit in the case. The case is very well built as well.

Q: Does the mesh cover really allow sound to pass through?

Yes it does. I was concerned with that as well. It doesn't block the sound at all. Very nice cover.
