While a quite a bit more expensive due to its rarity compared to other nerf guns, the re-skinned Alpha Trooper CS-6 is a really great gun. Its an exact replica of the previous blue Elite Alpha Trooper, with an orange repaint. I've had next to no jamming issues, and being a pump action nerf gun, its feels really good pumping and firing shots. The orange re-paint looks great too. I prefer it over the original Elite versions blue and orange...yuck.The removable stock (the back part of the gun you put your shoulder against) is originally from the Nerf Spectre.I've seen some YouTube reviews that complain about the stock being flimsy and too bendable, however it does NOT appear so to me. You'd have to put A LOT of force into the stock to even get it to bend a moderate amount. There's no reason anyone would ever put that much force into it. You're just bracing it against your shoulder. Its comfortable, and does a good enough job bracing against your body. If you're tall and lanky with long arms, you may want to try a different stock, since it is detachable. This kit comes with two 6 dart capacity magazines. For this bad boy, grab yourself nerf's orange 18 capacity mag. Makes the gun all that much better! Six darts isn't enough!Overall, a fantastic light weight gun!

Great Primary
This a great blaster overall. This version is identical to the elite alpha trooper just a repaint with a stock. The ranges are okay usually in the 40ft mark, not superb but not bad either.Where this blaster shines is in its comfort. It's pump action so it's easy to use and very comfortable. Slamfire is great but note mine was inaccurate as opposed to single fire. Even without slamfire the rate of fire is excellent. The spectre stock that came with this is just personally not one of my favorites. It's flimsy but does its job. The 2 6 dart mags are pretty insufficient but you can always buy more bags or a new stock. This is just too note but the blaster is still great.Overall this is a good primary to have. Comfortable to hold and use with excellent rate of fire. Just be prepared to buy more mags and maybe a new stock.

Absolutely great blaster. But this one costs way too much for what you get in package.
Aah, the legendary “EAT” or Elite Alpha trooper. The original alpha trooper was released with an 18rd drum magazine and was the classic N-strike yellow. I remember loving the feel of it, but hating that thing cause of poor performance. But this elite version fixes that exactly. Well.. close enough anyway. There was a Blue EAT, and there is also this one which was supposed to “shoot farther” but in my experience the performance is literally no different than the blue one. Just a repaint is what it is. Internally it’s even the same. Both of these I think WERE $20 blasters. Like the stryfe was. But since we all thought the alpha trooper was dead and gone, this one increased in value to $40 or more. Not only on here but at Kohl’s too. And now here we are, end of 2018 and finally getting an alpha trooper under the Accustrike line. Which I now sort of regret purchasing this because the accustrike one comes with a WAY better stock, a 25 rd drum, and a new feature: a barrel attachment lug on the alpha trooper. Oh and of course accustrike darts. That package will be $40. Same cost as this. And you get the crappy spectre stock, and two crappy 6rd magazines. Enough about all that, because I do still love this blaster a ton despite it being overpriced. Gets standard elite performance, action is smooth both in regular and slam fire shots. Range is very decent without mods, and accurate given you DONT use standard elites (seriously use accustrike darts of Waffle darts if you care about being accurate). Sadly the O-ring on the bolt has broken, so that means it is not shooting the darts because the blaster is not getting good air seal. Which is a bummer. But luckily it’s easy to fix, so I won’t complain too much lol. But seriously guys, whether or not you get the upcoming “Accu-trooper” (I think it’ll start hitting shelves early December), or get the original EAT, the alpha trooper will forever and always be a great springer blaster, and I hope it never dies out as long as this hobby exists.

Did Not Work Out Of The Box
I bought this for my son for Christmas. The package had a HUGE rip right down the middle of it so I took it out of the box to make sure it was going to work properly. Of course it didn't. The darts only fall out of the front. I have purchased many other accessories to go with this particular Nerf Gun and now with less than a week left before Christmas I have to find a way to replace it. NOT AT ALL HAPPY ABOUT THIS!

best for the buck
if your a hardcore harbro nerf only person, this is the best nerfgun for a battle if you dont want batteries.it shoots as fast as you can pump it and it is magazine fed. it can compete with most every battery powered nerf gun.buy a better stock for it though and get some 18 round stick magazines!

A fair backup gun
The weapon is weaker than the others I have and far less accurate. The stock that comes with it is garbage and you will need to get a different one. On the plus side, it looks cool and is dependable. There is also no way to put anything on the muzzle. Overall, this weapon is an ok back-up but don't count on this thing, consistently, firing farther than 10 feet.Edit: buy the improved spring and a new stock and it's awesome... I didn't know there was an improved spring for this till after I bought the gun. I ordered the spring after reading a lot about it online. All these nerf guns are sold with low level, cruddy parts and, if you invest in the gun, just about any of these will be a great gun. Buy the spring and stock mods and you'll be happy.

A classic comfortable design, if a little weaker than specified
The 85+ foot range claimed on the packaging is nonsense, more like 40-65 feet, but this is a very comfortable blaster to hold and use, especially if you replace the wobbly stock with something more solid. Nerf have come out with surprisingly few designs where the front hand both holds the blaster steady and primes the spring for the next shot.
