Camelbak BFM 100oz 3l Hydration Pack Coyote

This thing is gigantic. It's so big that I was able to fit my previous camelbak, fully loaded, inside this one with room to spare.Perhaps the best thing about this is that it is like a real backpack. It has a hip belt that seems to be removable (which implies I could get a bigger or smaller hip belt for it). It also has a stiffing plate inside it to help hold the form. All the zippers are large and rugged. There are straps inside to hold things down, and lots of little pouches on the outside. The shoulder straps are formed instead of being straight.And this thing is gigantic. It isn't clear to me if I have a discontinued BFM or the new model, but either way, the camelbak website puts it at being at least 45 liters.

I have only loaded it up and walked around the house with it on.So far I only wore it for five minutes. Packed with about 30lbs of stuff it seems like it will do its job. I plan mostly to use it for a travel bag and hopefully do some hiking and camping.Lots of space, the dual zippers on the main compartment are cool. Zippers work smoothly. Organizer pocket is cool. The zipper compartments inside the bag are awesome with mesh lining. The main compartment has 2 sets of straps to lock stuff in place.I will do a more thorough review after the bag goes on a hike.The bag comes with a Mil Spec 100oz Antidote hydration system.I guess this is the BFM 500 model

You pay for the quality on this pack. I use mine a few times a week for hiking and mountain biking. It's a much higher quality than the knock off's and far more comfortable. The design and layout is superior to any other similar pack that I've had. This pack is optimal for rucks, long day hikes, and extended outdoor activity. It doesn't have an internal frame, which can be a pro or con. The pack has interior plastic moulding and tons of padding. It a great all-around pack.

This is my third pack of the same model in multicam and coyote. I use them for very hard use, fishing, camping and overnight bags. They are bullet proof, period! Shipping was fast also!

This pack is great for 2-3 day hikes, school work, or holding the kitchen sink. It packs in very well with the internal tie downs and has great organizational options for the front pocket.The only peice of criticism I have is that the top pocket isn't lined with velvet. Idk if the description said it did or not but the majority of online reviews had it. So, kinda disappointing. But for the price and the quality of the pack this is a very small detail.Totally love this backpack.

I use this pack everyday for work- laptop, iPad, office supplies, change of clothes, etc; as well as my primary gear pack for drill weekends or hiking and camping. It is very comfortable, even when over packed (there's always room for one more item), and the compartments allow you to stay organized and access your different items very quickly. It has been very durable so far, and has yet to stay dirty after no more than a brushing off, even after riding in the turret rack of a tank for 3 days.

This bag is the stuff!!! Seriously roomy and has served me well for a number of years. Holds water bottles, books, snacks. No issues to date. Purchased while on deployment and has more than enough sack for graduate school and light hikes in the hills. If you're looking for a light bug out bag, or just dependable load for everyday, purchase this bag. You will not be sorry!
