Wipes out an entire mound in 24 hrs. The survivors, if any, might take an escape tunnel, but so far, no new mounds appear nearby treated mounds.

Does what it say and then some. It's been three weeks and I haven't had a single mound reemerge in any of the areas I previously treated. Price is better than amdro bait granules, and works great. As to the whining about the container being half empty upon arrival, they need to remember that they are buying by WEIGHT, not volume. I weighed mine when it arrived, and yes it was 1.5 lbs of product as listed. The large container design help with not dispensing too many granules with each shake. You really can use this very very sparingly and still get perfect mound killing results. Best way to see this is to sprinkle some on just one ant mound and wait 24 hours. The mound will be dead and any leftover granules you see on top is the amount you over sprinkled. So from then on keep that in mind as you treat each mound so that you don't waste too much of it. Using this correctly, a pound and a half will really go a long ways.

Works great for spot treating, and you just need to use a dusting; the workers will take care of the rest. When you check back in a few days, the mound is kaput. I assume it worked and they're all dead, but there are always new mounds in my yard (it never ends), so who knows? They will likely team up with AI and ultimately prevail. But it certainly beats spreading a mass of ant killer pebbles all over the yard and environment, then watering it in, hoping it works.

If you're dealing with fire ants, don't hesitate! Buy this now. Sprinkle as directed. Fire ants must not be allowed to flourish. The ants are an invasive species in North America and wipe out the native insects in an area. Fire ants aggressively attack anybody or anything that disturbs their mound. When using this poison, don't break open the mound. Sprinkle on the mound and in the yard. If you kick open the mound, the ants may relocate to a new position in the yard. If this product doesn't work within a day or two, try other brands. I've had great success with Spectracide, Ortho and Bayer. Encourage your neighbors to deploy poisons in their yard at the same time... you can clear a whole neighborhood if everybody in an area uses products like this around the same time. If you only treat one small area, it's likely some ants from another mound will survive, not picking up the bait, and the problem will return within days or a few weeks. If you have a large property (e.g., many acres) be sure to buy large quantities and use a spreader to distribute poison across all areas where mounds are found.

This stuff works. Makes me nervous around my animals, especially my chickens. The big plastic bottle is less than half full. Could save plastic and space putting it in an appropriate size container. Trying to be deceptive to look like more than it is.
