Mission: Her Shield (Team 52 Book 7) Kindle Edition

This is the seventh book I have read in this series. All of the men are tall, buff and tattooed with bad histories that make them think they can't have relationships. Though they don't deal with the same villains all they time, yet the villains are well funded, have a lot of trained followers, can't shoot worth a lick, and always a few steps ahead of our heroes. Our heroes always prevail with minimal damage. Then the book ends with a teaser of who the next book is about. One one the victims is a man named Mark that gets a virus that turns him into a minotaur. According to legend the original minotaur was given seven men and seven women as sacrifices which he ate. This minotaur somehow grabs seven women (it doesn't reveal how because that interesting question is not addressed) and is able to carry them off onto a ship without being seen by anyone (how can you not see a minotaur with high horns carrying seven women?). Travels to a small Island to an ancient ruin, (how did he manage to get to the ruin with the women? Was somehow able to find a vehicle that not only hold the women but could fit his hugh horns too?). Somehow is able to get the women into an underground maze by himself with no one noticing, then when the women wake up (because he is able to do all that because they are unconscious for a very long time for some reason) they scatter. He manages to kill three of the women by biting them on the neck like a vampire (does not eat them like I totally thought he should). The villans, not the heroes, manage to capture the minotaur and takes him to London where he somehow manages to escape and finds another underground tunnel. It ends with the MINOTAUR shooting himself in the head and the villians practically blowing themselves up. Of course, let's not forget about the hero and heroine having sex every time they get a chance to rest. I gave three stars because I was able to get involved with the characters and liked them. The writing was good and the action was exciting. It kept me one my toes wondering what was going to happen next. While it is nice to put yourself in the hero or heroine role thinking of yourself as that beautiful buff person, I would like to read about an every day type of hero that is more believable. Maybe the hero could be under six feet tall and average looking.

Will he be able to let her go now she is in danger ...I know, I know, I have still a few arcs to read before next week, but some authors are on my must-read-absolutely list, and four have a release this week, always a nightmare for me when I am running after my due-reviews. I am never late but still.After a break in the historical romance world for a fun action packed read is always welcome, it rejuvenates my brain.It has been since the beginning of this series that I have seen the built between Nathalie and Axel.And witnessing Axel hurting her with his many meaningless hookups.But now she is in danger, he is like a wolf on a hunt, only one thing counts, rescuing her.Each bears its own scars, she to never have someone to stay for her and he to fear his past might be too much to handle.And he beats himself to stay away from her, she instead decides that enough is enough and she will prove him, she is whom he very much needs in his life.Nathalie even if she is no Wonder Woman, she is no weak intellectual, she is able to think and fight even when endangered. She enters the battlefield with her mind in full motion, looking for any clue or way to help her team win.Axel is still reliving his worst nightmares, they are those making him keep at bay Nathalie as he does not trust her to be able to accept who he was and what he had done.Without surprise Mrs Anna Hackett offers a story full of actions, steam and one hell of a couple.4.5 stars

Team 52 book 7. Reads like a splendid movie. Axel and Dr. Natalie. An awesome pair that have been circling each other for some time. Axel is battle ready at all times. He may be hot and charming but he also got some heavy PTSD going on. Because of that he continually denies his feelings for Dr. Nat. Dr.Nat loves history and has a brain that doesn't stop. While at a conference, some crazy ish on level 10 happens and she along with others get kidnapped. The team gears up to rescue and Axel must confront his trauma. Dr. Nat is strong and stubborn for the both of them and will battle for her man. High twists, turns, angst, drama, smexy and plenty of WTF.

Once again Anna Hackett has combined the perfect amount of history, passionate romance and high octane adventure in one fabulous book. Almost each member of team 52 has met their match and now it's Axel and Nat's turn. Their attraction and been simmering in previous books but boils over in "Her Shield". Axel is ex Delta Force who has seen and done things that he's not proud of. He believes he's too broken inside and doesn't deserve love. Nat is a gorgeous, intelligent, sassy amazing Archaeologist. She been with team 52 since the beginning. This is the one place she feels she belongs with people who have become her friends and her family. In this adventure Greek mythology comes to life with the Minotaur, a labyrinth and lots and lots of evil enemies and plenty of puzzles to solve. It's a fast paced delicious treat that will leave you breathless and wanting more. The ending also gives you a teaser for Jonah and if you're a fan of the series you know who I'm referring to and his book looks like it's going to be a wild ride. Thank you so much Anna Hackett for providing fabulous entertainment that chases the blues away and make quarantine a little less stifling . I highly recommend this for your reading enjoyment.

Archaeologist Natalie Blackwell is at a conference in Greece meeting with many of her colleagues when trouble occurs. Wandering around dark passages and hearing growling plus women screaming, she runs into a couple of her colleagues. Finding a cell phone, Natalie manages to call a member of Team 52 alerting them of the problem.With a creature from Greek mythology seemingly on the loose, mercenaries wanting it for gain at any price while the action moves from Greece to London before all becomes clear and all ends well.

Book 7 in not a fan of axel and when he looked at any but took that girls number that was it for me to cold and childish and she never even have him a hard time about it.This happens allot in this series women are to understanding but the are human it don't sit tight with me but I love the bond with the group. one left the big boss man

Another success for Anna and the formidable Team 52. Axel's story has been long awaited and I, for one, couldn't wait to read it. There's just something about this sexy, gorgeous badass that had me on the edge of mg seat and my heart fluttering. I love the way Anna blends action, danger and excitement with the sexier side of her characters. Axel's was my favourite, by far. Roll on Jonah!!

When I got the email telling me a new book was out I immediately went back to book one and read the entire series again! That's how much I love this series and found this book just as enthralling as the rest! Read any book that Anna's written and I promise you'll not regret it!! Can't wait for Jonah's story later this year.
