They seem to be sturdy.

Going from a smoothly operating wall mounted bar to these that I thought would be more substantial in a new bathroom was a little disappointing. They are definitely strong and, unlike the smoothly operating unit, these store in the up position, but they clang and rattle because there is no cushioning washer between the metal parts. We used reinforcement in the walls for use on each side of a raised toilet and they are solidly installed, but the hinges rattles and shake when moved up and down, making them sound unsteady. I almost returned them, but we were able to tighten enough to manage the noise since they will seldom be raised. Best for use in an industrial setting--maybe not in your home.

Flimsy, leg fell apart out of the box had to modify it so it would stay together. Weld made the leg stick out not allowing it to fold up properly.

Mounting surface arrived badly bent/warped no option to reach seller just option to return and don't have time to wait for another have to get this installed asap

You can not tighten bolts will not move

I bought this bar for my bathroom toilet and it worked so well I bought a second one for my shower. The quality is great and folds away for easy access to shower. Jerry

they operate well however some of the screws have large heads and the attachment area is not countersunk for the heads, they are also to long and need to be cut shorter to make unit look better.

It would work well for a person who is not too heavy. I installed in my bathroom for a family member who is quite heavy, and the bar is not as sturdy as I'd like. It wiggles a bit from side to side. I needed to install a fixture on the floor (with a hole) for the vertical leg to fit into and keep it in place (I used a circular support that's normally used to hold up a clothes hanger bar in a closet) because the vertical leg keeps wanting to slide out to the side.
