This mount is awesome, it lets the TV be completely be pushed back against the wall, leaving zero gap!I was impressed by the robustness of this product. It’s very solid product, and definitely built to withstand the test of time!Installation is more involved than other TV mounts - you need to verify stud spacing, and ensure there are no other utilities running through the space you’re planning to use as this requires the entire plenum footprint of a 2x4 wall. Additionally, for a built-in look, you’ll need to run in-wall power to the unit. All together, I would say the installation is just outside of what I would recommend for a lay person, but should be doable for an experienced DIYer.Other reviewers have mentioned that the mount is too stiff to use - out of the box, I would agree, it’s very stiff. However, the stiffness is adjustable and (as of late 2018) the adjustment instructions are on page 14 of the manual.

The tv bracket took a while to ship but totally worth the wait. I have purchased other in wall brackets and none of them were as well thought out as this one. This bracket is so good I am thinking of buying another to replace the other one I currently have installed.

Does what its supposed to to a certain extent. Few complaints: #1. when a 100 pound, 75" monster is attached to it, pulling the tv out is not so easy...you can feel the weight and you have to put considerable amount of force on the tv to get it to extend and retract. #2. The extension of the arm could be longer. I know its states it only extends 10", but on a tv as big as 75", it really doesn't do much except help you access to reach the connections behind the tv.Also, a 100 pound television will make the arm sag ever so slightly...which threw off my perfectly centered install look. I have this unit flush mounted to my wall.However, Installation was easy enough if you follow the instructions and take your time.

Fantastic in-wall TV mount. I am not a "handy" man around the house, but I decided to take it on. In hindsight, this was one of the easier DIY projects that I've done.Previously, we had the TV on a stand against a wall in the Family Room. The room also has a fireplace. I decided to go above the mantel and install my TV and this mount there. I had the benefit that above our fireplace is drywall and an open space as the fireplace vents out rearward. Also, I had the benefit of two studs that were 16" apart and centered above the fireplace - so no additional work was required to the wall.The directions are excellent and the total project was complete with the TV running in <2hrs.The VESA mounts can accommodate most any TV. You can also adjust the "mating" plate that the TV hangs from by adjusting your VESA hardware. I installed a bit too high, but I will move it down by rearranging those connections.I added a recessed electrical outlet in one of the openings in the box. If you do, I would suggest pre-wiring the outlet and electrical box before you place the TV mount. I made this project a bit harder by connecting the outlet while the box was on the wall. That was the most painful part of the project, but it was self-induced.All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the unit and wished I had done this project a year ago. The TV looks great there and their advertisement is true - the TV sits less than 0.5 inch away from the wall.

My reason for 3 stars over 5 is that for the price( $195 at time of purchase) this mount Does NOT come with 43mm M8 for Samsung TVs, largest M8 in the box is 30mm this is not compatible with the large TVs this kit advertises.This mount installs well once the opening is cut and overall build quality is great.

The most important thing my clients look to us for is to NOT see anything behind the TV. The only reason this mount sticks out from the wall is because of the thickness of the metal and the heads of the lag screws to mount it with. If the mount had 3/8" dimples where the screws go, you could pre-drill a 3/8th" deep large hole in the studs and then the mount would be 1/8" off the wall. Right now, it is about 1/2" with white bezel covering the 4 bolts. Really, this is nit picking. They did a great job with this mount and it is the closest and strongest I have ever used. I have used 3 of them so far. The cut template that comes with it should NOT be used. Measure and cut your own hole size. The template hole cut it way too big and leaves a large gap above or below the mount. The bezel covers it but it looks bad with a large gap. We are professional installers and this product makes us look just that way!

Poorly advertised & described product. OmniMount claims this product is compliant with all VESA standards from 100x100mm - 600x400mm; however, this is false. It is only compliant with 100x100mm, 200x100mm, 200x200mm, 300x300mm, and 600x400mm. IT IS NOT COMPLIANT WITH 300x200mm or any standards not mentioned above. Many 55"+ televisions with low profiles will not fit this mount, including the new LG OLED TV's.

This is fantastic. Easy installation instructions - takes a little time to make sure its precise, but worth it. The opening for cords to run through it great. too.This really helped clean up our living room - when one enters the room they would look directly down the wall that the TV is mounted to - so this really helps the setup look professional.With the weight capacity, it holds our 65 inch just fine.
