Just like everyone else says... a great product !
These just arrived yesterday. The rings and straps appear solidly built, and are very simple in design; that's a good thing. You have to be careful to loop the straps through the buckle correctly, but they have photos which show how. Feed from the bottom, in the direction of the arrow on the clip... pretty simple. You can hang them from a variety of supports. I looped them over a pull up bar, and used them today to do dips. They're great. I was trying to figure out to find space in the garage for dip bars, and this eliminated the problem completely. When I'm not using them, I hang the rings on a peg sticking off the pull up bar, so the straps and rings stay way above head height and are unobtrusive. I've attached a photo so you can see the setup. I had a question about stability, given that the straps aren't anchored to any part of the pull up bar, but (a) I looped the remainder of the straps to the pull up supports that anchor it into the wooden beam, which would help keep the straps in place, except (b) it doesn't appear to be necessary, as the force exerted on the straps is primarily downward, which also seems to keep them from moving. Perhaps if you are swinging, then you'd need to fix the straps harder so they don't move laterally on the bar... but then again, there is also a velcro strap situated right by the buckle, probably for this purpose (to prevent horizontal sliding of the strap). The dips were great. I tried hanging pull ups with an L-pike, and that was also great. Since I'm going to do mostly calisthenics, I think I can already safely say this product is excellent for my needs. I don't know about how they would work for a full fledged gymnast, who is looking to swing giants or anything, but my guess is that they are using a proper gymnastics setup. Overall, I'm amazed at the value. Simple, durable, get the job done. A much, much better alternative than clunky dip bars that are triple the price.

Nice Product, Nice Design, Well Built.
I did lots of research, and although i read most people preferred wood rings, i decided on these plastic ones because I keep them outside and it rains a lot here, i'm hopping that the sun won't deteriorate the straps (but maybe it will over time), but overall the quality is very good, 'one strap was slightly larger than the other' by about a few inches, but it didn't matter because they are long enough.. in my opinion... i hocked them outside from the balcony on the main beam... works great... really wish i had bought this product long time ago... i used to do these when i was younger, so i'm happy i'm able to get a little bit back in shape from using these once in a while. I'm slightly over 200 lbs and it holds me well... rings stay in place. Rings are good size...Not to big not too small.. Just right. Note that i read people saying these type of clips for the strap is hard to set up, maybe the very first time i was not sure how to do it, but after that i can adjust it easily, as i do adjust them higher for pull ups, and lower them for dips... Great item... very well designed.. i like the feeling of it on my hands for sure better than 'steel rings' that is what I was used to in the past because plastic is not as cold when temperature drops... Nayoya if you reading this... Thank you... Cheers.

Quality Rings
Gymnastic Rings provide a great workout, particularly for the back and shoulders. Having your own set is handy if you like to train in the park. You only need to find a decent jungle gym or pullup bar and you are in business. I wouldn't call these an essential piece of fitness gear. So, if you are deciding between rings OR a suspension trainer like a TRX, I would get the suspension trainer first. This specific set is very good quality. The rings are solid and have a good weight to them with just enough texture to prevent slipping. They are exactly the same weight as the ones we use at the crossfit box that I go to. The straps and cam buckles that secure the straps are built well and do not slip (very important). I paid about $35 for this set. Considering that sometimes I will be hanging upside down on these, I feel it was money well spent for a quality product. Update 2015: After two years, these rings are still good as new. We have a covered deck and left them hung on the rafters there in order to do dips and work on muscle ups. They have served us very well. The price on these fluctuates, but you can usually pick them up for $25-40. P.S: My wife adds that if you have a TRX, these provide a nice matching set.

They are easy to adjust for height (pullups to dips
Prior to buying these rings I was working out on a bar, and find the rings to be much more versatile and potent. They are easy to adjust for height (pullups to dips, for example), and setup was a snap - I have them hanging from an open joist in the garage. After a few weeks on these, my physique has popped, and strength is increased, I believe it's because I'm using more stabilizing muscles to perform a given exercise. There are many exercises that can be performed on the rings, even front and reverse flys, which are excruciating and maybe a bit much for me right now, but I never got this level of intensity from bar work. I also love that they rotate and follow my body's natural form, so there is much less stress on the joints and connective tissue, and I can feel the difference in my elbows, wrists, and shoulders. These are excellent quality and way more than worth the purchase price.

Solid but a little slippery
Great investment, allowing me to hit everything without a gym(with a little creativity)! They are very sturdy and I imagine they'll last a long time. The straps are very stable and simple, very long too. At first, they were a little slippery and on long sessions of pulling/hanging work, my forearms started to feel it a lot, causing some elbow pain. However, this was easily fixed by buying cheap athletic tape and wrapping it around the rings, now super grippy!

Its a good product but a bit overpriced . Rings are nice and study and the thread is about 15 feet long and it is easily adjustable
