This is the right item according to the cost of the item which higher than the lower size.
Fits exactly how it should according to the size of the door and the price of the guard, although the item description is off, you never know what will you getting.

good product
needs to change the way the corners are bent to give the metal more room to flow around the corners of the door. Pus it needs more holes at the outside edges. I had to modify it slightly for this reason. and it could be one size thicker for most door spacing.

Almost Perfect
My son locked himself out of his house and we had to pry open the lock on the MDF door. This left a terrible mess! I called around to see how much a new door would cost and there were quotes between $2,200-2,600!. Jumped on Amazon and found this product. Easy ro install and looks great. TIP: you may need larger screws for your lockset as the sleeve adds about a 1/8 of an inch to the door. I would recommend this product!

description incorrect/ product though is excellent
your description of the product says 2 3/8 backset but the line art drawing says 2 3/4 backset.fortunately I went to manufacturers website which showed 2 3/4 backset which is the one I needed

solved our problem
Changed our door strike to an electric strike. this allowed us to adjust the latch height to accommodate the strike without buying a new door.
