Quality bit
This bit worked great for my application. While not as good as a high quality compression bit, it doesn't come with the cost either. Would purchase again.

Worth it to spend a few extra bucks on quality bits.
When i bought my first router, a Ridgid R2401 Laminate Trim Router, I figured I would try some of the less expensive router bits (Ryobi). This almost turned me off to routing, as there was a lot of tear out, etc, with those bits. What do you expect for a set that has 21 bits for $50?I then bought a bigger router, a Hitachi KM12VC 11 Amp 2-1/4-Horsepower Plunge and Fixed Base Variable Speed Router Kit with 1/4-Inch and 1/2-Inch Collets , and bought a Freud bit in 1/2in shank, and gave it one last try. I was simply amazed at how much better of a cut I got with the Freud. So I ordered the other 4 1/2in bits from that site as they were on clearance for $10 each. I figured that I would also buy some Freud bits in 1/4in shank for my little trim router, as it is a joy to work with and way less heavy. You may have to make a couple of more passes, but it is a great little router.I then looked into making patterns and templates, and figured I would buy this bit to test them on a pattern (push stick) that I had made. I used my scroll saw and got as close as I could with it, then used this bit to follow the pattern. The bearing being on the template and the bit finishing the job. It works just as good as the bigger shank bit. I mean, you don't even have to sand the edges, that's how well these work.I would suggest to anyone to spend the few extra bucks and get the few bits that you will use all the time. Get a straight, flush trim, round over, pattern, and maybe a chamfer. You will not be disappointed and many patterns can be made using these few.

Saftey, this things stronger than you are.. and.. i.e etc..
This THing Rocks.. don't try to hold the router in your hand though.. this thing took off like a bat outta hell.. scratched my coffee table.. and well.. I just think the router table is in order for the safety of anything within striking distance.. in fact, don't even open the package ".. without leather welding gloves.. "
