Does this contain aluminum? The reviews seem to imply.

Yes it does. They are being dishonest by calling this a natural deodorant. The ingredient "alcloxa" is aluminum. I can't believe they are passing this off as natural, safe, and nontoxic. Another website selling this deodorant has this warning on the product description: "Contains alcloxa which may cause breast cancer and Alzheimer's."

Is alvera a cf company? i got the original aloe herbal one today but i wasn't able to find any tips or articles saying whether or not it is.

CF means cruelty free. Well let's start with suspected cruelty to the consumer the "Tea" listed in the ingredients here is actually TEA or more completely said Triethanolamine. Alcloxa is usually sourced from uric acid from cow urine. So it depends what you consider cruelty free. Want more? There is lots of aluminum in this! Alcloxa is a trade name for what is properly known as 3-chloro(hydroxy)alumanyl-1-(2,5-dioxoimidazolidin-4-yl)urea; aluminium hydroxide. Google alcloxa then work it out from the chemistry and molecular weights or just take my word for it. It has a molecular weight of about 318 grams/mol and aluminum has a molecular weight of 29 so since there are two molecules of aluminum in every alcloxa molecule you are looking at about a 18% concentration by weight of aluminum in the third ingredient of this cosmetic. So lets be clear, the third ingredient is an organic (meaning carbon containing not USDA-organic) salt. Alcloxa is the third ingredient (behind aloe vera gel and water (with lots of parenthesized extracts dumped in parenthesis under water). BTW it's interesting to note that the "tea" late in the ingredient list is not the tea you drink but Triethanolamine which might not be very good for you, so it's banned in Europe. Of course we all know that the US FDA always puts the public first and would never allow anything harmful in our cosmetics or drugs. The seller could not even have the integrity to list it as "TEA " heaven forfend they actually empowered the consumers with information by listing the chemical name Triethanolamine

Actually Alcloxa is highly suspect in terms of animal sourcing (much higher impact than animal texting) BTW I participated in the first animal testing studies of Nalzxone which is saving thousands of human lives. No regrets.

I found my dream deodorant finally!

I used the crystal roll on for a long time. Stopped working suddenly and I had to go on that dreaded mission to find a new natural deodorant. Wasted money on quite a few that did not work at all and then read the reviews on this and most were good reviews so I decided to give it a try and the price was great which was a huge bonus. THIS WAS IT! I literally found THEE PERFECT DEODORANT FINALLY. The smell...mmm...it reminds me of Frangelica liquor. This doesn't leave clothing marks, makes your pits soft and smooth, acts as an antiperspirant meaning you'll be less sweaty and it actually LASTS a LONG time. I am so impressed and happy to have found this!! Buy this, you will not regret it!

Best all natural deodorant out there!

I absolutely love this deodorant! It is the only aluminum free, all natural deodorant that actually works & doesn’t stain my clothing. It also has a pleasant but subtle scent that won’t overpower or mix poorly with lotion & perfume. It’s sometimes not available to order, & they’re from my hometown, so I get the feel this is a small business. I hope they improve their packaging & marketing so that they’re successful & I don’t have to worry about not being able to order more. Cannot recommend this enough!

Yes, this one does have a scent!

I've been using this deodorant for years. Got a question about the scent a while back and said that it had no scent I could notice (and that I was allergic to fragrances). Reordered and was sent this instead of the unscented. Didn't think it would be a problem, but after a day or two, I was getting headaches and really bothered by what is actually a nice scent. If fragrance doesn't bother you, go for it. I ended up sending the scented ("Almond...") back and making sure my reorder was for the unscented version of this brand, which is available and works great.
