Has gotten me through remote meetings!!
I've had this camera for about a year now and I'm a huge fan. I spend anywhere between 4-6 hours per day on video calls and with the addition of an external monitor, it was always awkward to use my MacBook Pro camera, which I think only does 720P, and having people looking at the bottom of my neck when I looked up at my screen. The quality is incredible, the remote zoom/pan features are awesome and I constantly get comments about how much crisper my video looks compared to anyone else I'm in a meeting with.I don't have a ton of experience with external cameras outside of this one, but I trusted Avaya and their line of business focused cameras and haven't been let down yet. Even the size and heft compared to a Logitech one I sent back is such a huge difference.Get it. It's expensive, yes, but if your work depends on video quality, you can't go wrong.Side note: I don't use the included microphone and use my own. It isn't the greatest and I actually prefer the MacBook mic, but if you're going for a full on home office setup, my opinion is that you should get an external mic if you're investing this much into a camera. Should the included mic be better for $170? Yes, but hey, get the best camera and pick up a solid mic and you're golden.

This webcam is amazing
I'm responsible for IT in a small company of about 50 users. When the pandemic hit and everyone started using Teams, Zoom, etc. I searched long and hard for a good quality webcam that could handle the backlighting of windows behind my users, and which would allow them to easily pan and zoom the camera without having to use software for these adjustments. Then I found this Avaya camera with a remote control. This webcam is amazing. The remote control allows the users to easily zoom/pan and there's a "backlight" button that toggles the backlighting feature of the camera. While no camera is going to be perfect when pointing at the person with a big sun lit window behind them, this "backlight" toggle button really helps. Much better than the software lighting adjustments. I first ordered three of these to test. Then after the warm reception from my test subjects, I ordered 25 more for the rest of the folks that needed one in my office. We've been using them with no issues for three months now. The users love them. I found it's best to plug them into a SuperSpeed USB port directly to the laptop or dock, or CPU for desktops. When I've plugged them into monitor USB ports, I don't think they get enough bandwidth or power to make them happy. Again, I highly recommend these cameras. Thank you Avaya!

Good camera, lots of features, just a tad blurry for Webcam
This camera is not really meant to be a traditional webcam for your PC, but it functions well for that purpose. You can some, pan and it has quite a wide angle. However for closeups it's not as good as my 920. I paid a fair price of this camera, which is not far from where the more traditional quality webcams were trading at the time, so I felt ok with the purchase. Overall, I think this would make a good camera for the board room, it's just ok for the office. I do like the fact that it works well with the zoom background filter, very well indeed!

Great upgrade when you spend 8 hours a day on camera
I've always been a big fan of Logitech gear, and had a C615 that I'd used for the past four years. But recent flickering made me look for a replacement cam.A coworker had sprung for the Avaya HC020 and I was impressed not only by the video quality but features like variable zoom, backlight, multi-camera select, and manual focus. I also felt I was getting more much value from the Avaya than from a new Brio purchase.PROS: high quality video, great multi-depth lens, remote control, good low-light capability.CONS: pricey for most folks, grainy when fully zoomed in (unsurprising), no physical lens cover. All in all, highly recommended.

Less than a year, the camera craps out.
A more than $200 webcam that can't even last a year. No meaningful support from Avaya. It turns on (I can see the blue light) but it no longer works. Tried downloading new firmware, but no go. My system says the camera is working properly, but it does not work at all. (Again, where is the support from Avaya?) I really liked the camera when it did work, but now it's just a paperweight. A $228 paperweight.

Great camera for my computer.
Really love the resolution, works great with my macbook and mac mini. And it works with all of the various software packages I have to use between work and personal calls. Haven't needed the remote so far, but may play with it someday.

Worth every penny
Stop thinking and buy it.WFH due to Covid everyone lost their minds and wanted to do everything by video conference even if in the past the same meeting would have been by phone only.Long story short, searched high and low, read all the reviews and wanted something different from a different manufacturer but it was out of stock b/c everyone read same reviews and snapped them up.I stumbled on this and could not be happier. True plug and play. Literally stick it in your USB, launch your conferencing app and choose this camera. So far it works with all conferencing apps I've tried (Zoom, Bluejeans, GtM).The level of control via the remote is a true game changer. Zoom, Pause. Etc. w/o being the weirdo creepily leaning forward to the cam during a meeting. Just awesome. If i need to step away I can. Same if a family members pops in my office. Similarly the ability to vary the height etc. It basically gives the freedom/portability of using my phone cam, with the control of using my laptop cam.

The camera is excellent for the most part
The camera is affected by the settings of every media such as Skype, Zoom, Blues Jeans, MS Teams - not always good.. The quality of the picture is excellent and too much so for most media if not professional graphics. Consider this when paying the very high price...
