Live In Dublin

A great live album from one of the all time artists and storytellers. If you have been fortunate enough to see him live this is a perfect show to have on cd and dvd

Wonderful three hour concert from 2013, on both Blu-Ray HD video and on 3 CDs. Amazing performance from Leonard, though poignant following his recent death. The picture and sound quality of the Blu-Ray are excellent played on my Sony player through my LG TV and soundbar. Not sure why others have had problems. The CDs sound terrific too! This set is excellent value for money and I recommend anyone who enjoys Leonard Cohen's music to buy it.

I heard the live version of this concert in Lucca in Tuscany last year and watching the dvd of the concert again last night brought back wondeful memories of that hot summer evening. This amazing artist performs for over 3 hours and every song is memorable and filled with emotion. Every single member of the band gives an outstanding performance and I cannot recommend this collection highly enough. Genius

Leonard is every bit as good as expected. I saw Leonard at Manchester for this tour and this is a must for anyone that saw Leonard on this tour. Excellent

I recently discovered the Live in London concert from 2008. It was mesmerizing. Sadly it was shot in the old 4:3 format so a square picture BUT, and an important BUT, the sound mix is so much better than Live in Dublin. The band line up is exactly the same so it's easy to compare. Live in London has so much more presence, a bigger fuller mix and it truly captures the depth of Leonard's rich golden voice which, lets face it, is what it's all about. By comparison Live in Dublin, while competent, lacks the fullness of sound. Leonard's voice is almost lost in the mix at times and certainly loses all that timbre we associate with his performance. It's also fair to say perhaps, that Dublin is 6 years further on and maybe Leonard's voice had naturally lost some of its power and depth. So to sum up. If sound is important to you buy Live in London. If picture quality is most important buy Live in Dublin. Either way you're in for a real treat of this fantastic performer and his majestic band of consummate musicians.

Everything that has to be said about Leonard Cohen has been said. This was a terrific concert and this recording just makes you feel as though you were there.

Para los que tuvimos la suerte de asistir a su gira española, el disco nos acerca a las sensaciones que tuvimos. Un Leonard Cohen en su cima de madurez, rodeado de una banda de virtuosos de todo el mundo. Javier Mas tocando el archilaud está sublime. Tanto los discos en vivo "Songs from the road" como "Live in London" de la gira anterior con Dino Soldo en los instrumentos de viento, como este "live in Dublin" con un violinista en lugar del saxofonista son imprescindibles. Los tres discos han sido grabados y masterizados de manera sublime por los mejores técnicos: Doug Sax o Bob Ludwig, La grabación respeta los timbres de los instrumentos y la dinámica de la interpretación, nada que ver con las grabaciones saturadas que abundan y matan algunos discos. Los tres discos son imprescindibles.

This man is a Star

Al primo impatto ero un po' delusa... arrangiamenti musicali molto basic rispetto alle versioni originali. Si tratta di un concerto in cui non è stato tralasciato neanche un suo brano importante. Mi sono ricreduta già al secondo ascolto. Ed è sempre più bello. Stupendo. Pochi strumenti, la sua voce dal timbro profondo e il coro fanno di questa raccolta qualcosa di straordinario. 3 CD pazzeschi!

Comme toujours L. Cohen m'enchante. Ce disque est très bon. Un autre que j'envisage d'acheter excellent: Ten new songs. Je conseille.
