Informative, Unbiased Guide To DMT
I've always been afraid of experimenting with psychodelics. About the furthest I've gone into the drug world is marijuana. With that being said I've always been really curious about different psychodelic drugs including DMT. I'd seen the rave reviews of Colin Willis's other works, and when I came across this book, I thought I'd give it a read to indulge my curiousity.DMT, also known as Demethyltryptamine is a drug used to put you in a subconcious/concious state. Similar to acid, shrooms, and other psycodelic drugs out there. This book begins by explaining what the drug is and all basic facts associated with DMT. It then delves deeper into the history of DMT, talking about it's discovery and historical studies. There's also a good portion of the book dedicated to the science behind the drug; which I found very interesting, because most online sources I'd found regarding DMT don't really mention the science behind it. In fact almost all pieces that I've read on DMT were more about the feelings and effects related to it, rather than the science behind those effects. So this book opened up a lot more information for me.As with most pieces about DMT this book also covers all of the effects of DMT. But, unlike many sources it doesn't purely focus on the positive attributes, it also explains in detail the negatives of DMT. Because the book was written in a way that was neither promoting nor demeaning DMT, I found that almost everything within it had a scientific base behind it and was written in a way very general way. It wasn't trying to persuade you to use the drug, or not to use it- it was just informing you on using it. I really trusted all of the information in the book because of this and I especially appreciated the fact that they spoke in detail about BOTH the positives and negatives of the drug.Aside from the effects, the book also discusses the legal risks behind the drug and the dangers involved. There is a lot of critical information included in the book that really can help you grasp whether or not the use of DMT is something worth doing for you. I also really like that it quickly discussed the cost of DMT, which was something I had no previous knowledge of and is hard to find clear answers to online.Overall, a very informative read. I still haven't decided if I'd ever like to try psycodelics, but I do know that I have a lot more information to make an intelligent decision with after reading this book.

Interesting read!
This is a well-written guide that explains everything that you need to know about DMT. I like how to author did his best to explain it in layman’s term which can be easily understand by people without the fancy medical terminologies. All the information is backed up with intensive research from the author, along with the calculated analysis of DMT’s topnotch researcher, Dr. Rick Strassman. What makes this different from any other book is it clearly explains both the positive and negative effects in using DMT. It also shows how it differs from other hallucinogenic substances. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to know about this controversial hallucinogen.

Good, but better books exist on this subject.
Pretty generic book, but it does have some good info for newbies.

Very interesting book!
Very interesting and informative, and a good read. I wanted more. Being of the "hippie" generation, I experimented with many psychoactive plants during the 60's. I am an old man now, but I remember the 500 or more trips I experienced during that time. Each one was a paradise of vision and thought.

Concise and informative
With Ayahuasca becoming more and more popular and the general public becoming more and more curious about it, this short book provides important and insightful information anyone considering experimenting with DMT should take the time to read. Good food for thought.

Eh. Short but not worth the paper.
I just bought this over Strassman's book due to the positive reviews. That was a mistake. I literally just read it while taking a bath and now am writing the review on my phone since I'm so angry I spent $7 on this.First off it's basically a rip off basic online Wikipedia documentation with a half dozen references to the Strassman book. I seriously just picked a random page to confirm Strassman's spelling and his name was on that page. There's tons of white space and the book could fit half as much paper. It's also so repetitive at parts it might take a quarter of the paper if it actually just contained basic content.Ok, not a reason to be so cruel if I feel this book was written by an eighth grader doing a research paper, right? The real bad part is how it is actually contains disinformation. It talks of DMT addiction which is an absurd concept. Any budding psychonaut knows that the brain quickly develops a tolerance to tryptamines, especially DMT. It's very difficult to even smoke DMT correctly for first-timers! The idea that someone could develop an addiction to DMT is absolute madness. The book basically sucks. It doesn't even talk much about what a DMT trip is like. No machine elves, no stories of connections to other entities. If you want to learn a lot more about DMT, just go on YouTube and watch DNT the Spirit Molecule.I was hoping to add this book to my library on psychedelics but I may just toss it in the trash and order Strassman's book. Save yourself a few dollars and read about DMT online or watch the film I mentioned.
